Disney Vacation Club Members???

Just wondering if anyone on the Boards is a Vacation Club Member??

I just got another mailing about them and, while I LOVE Disney, the Vacation Club seems very expensive for what you get.

Current "buy-in", according to the mailing, is $12,600!!!

Can anybody spare me the 2 hour time-share pitch and provide any info the have on this?

What does it consist of?
Is it worth it?
What are they advantages over regular vacation planning?

I see that too, having bought a smaller resale, but my husband and I were unsure of putting out alot of $$$ in one shot and since we always go in the Off season the smaller package was enough. We are planning to add on more and funds allow to get us there but the resale was a nice starting point.
