Does anyone have know anything about the Vacation Account. I read some off the website but was looking for opinions, experiences, tips.

I know I can get info from the site but I was looking for reviews from real people.

Thank you in advance!

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Love it! Discovered it last year prior to our trip. Can't go wrong put money in and get $20 gift cards (max $500 for the lifetime of an account) for every $1000 you spend out of it. You can put in money as you want by using credit/debit cards or gift cards or you can have money automatically added too every week, month etc. I am DVC now and it is still coming in handy to save for our AP's , dining plan, and other events we book etc.
Very easy to use and also if you ever need your money that's in there back you can request it to be refunded to you within a few days. And it's all free to use so it's a no brainer to help save and earn some money back by doing so. Just last year I got $60 back in gift cards for using it. ;)

Wow! Thanks for the help on this. My wife told me about it and we were interested in finding out what actual people think about it.
Thanks!

You're very welcome! Can't see any negatives to it at all. Was so user friendly and we will plan on using it for all of our trips. I'm about to start another trip on it soon. ;)

In addition to the above, you can also use Disney gift cards to deposit money into your DVA. This works great if you have, say, a local Kroger that will give you 4x fuel points on gift card purchases.

My wife and I signed up. We are taking baby steps with this. We are putting about $50 a week towards an April vacation.bthis should give us sufficient money towards a meal plan. We will see how this goes then evaluate it. Thanks for the assistance!

You also do not have to do the auto payments into it you can just add manually as you have extra to put in and use gift cards to add money as mentioned, or a credit/debit card. That's what we do usually. But you will love it sounds great! Happy Saving! :D:greedy:

Thanks for posting. I didn't know about this. We used to always get a package and pay it off long before our trip but since getting annual passes our reservations are room only, meaning I pay one night at time of reservation and then the rest bills at time of check in. Now I come home to a big card balance between the room and all of the other charges. I like it better paid in advance. I think I'll use this! Too bad there's a lifetime max on the gift cards earned. Us frequent visitors will hit that limit in a fairly short time.

Thanks for everyone's input! We are well under way for our April 2017 vacation. We just paid off our NYC Disney cruise comingat the end of October. That was very hard to pay off since we didn't have the Vacation Account yet. I'm done with cramming for paying on a deadline!
Thanks again!

Hi guys. This account is something that I'm very curious about as well. Do you know if you earn any interest on the money deposited there? Or does the money sit there until you spend it? For those that are DVC members, can you use it to pay annual dues? On the website it says you can't, but I read on other forums that you could, and I don't know if that is a new thing and the website is outdated.

The Disney Vacation Account is a great way to save for that all important Disney trip! I used it because it was much easier for me to put the savings into the Disney Vacation Account IN ANOTHER BANK instead of a local bank, where it would be easier to get to and take out an use for other things. While you can still transfer the deposits back to the original form of payment, it takes a few days in order to have you cash available! Also, not only can you save for Disney trips, you can also save for your spending money. My December 2017 trip is paid for and now I am still putting money into the account for spending. When the dates get here I will simply transfer it back to my debit card and go to the local bank and take it out in cash for the trip! EASY PEASY! Thanks Disney!
