I’m not sure if the weather would exactly go with it. That’s why there is no Disney New York or East like planned.

I think Disneyland Paris is the Disneyland UK. Wasn't the proximity to the British railway a huge reason they went with the Paris location over the site in Spain?

Kind of. Proximity to Europe wide transportation. Eurostar, TGV and CDG Airport.

it is very nice being able to take a two and a half hour train from london straight to the front gate. just a shame its full of us europeans, because queueing for characters is always such a fun experience there.

I love that as well, the first time I visited Disneyland Paris messed with my head being at home one minute and just a few hours later standing on Main Street.

I love it being in France though, makes our trips more exciting opposed to just going down the road to Thorpe Park.

As for the characters, that is a trade off, it's nice to see characters still being able to roam through the parks, but this is what people do!

My only other real issue is the smoking everywhere, but I guess that is more of a European culture thing.

The best thing to do with Disneyland Paris is to become a Shareholder in Euro Disney S.C.A, then you can sign up to the Shareholder club and with that you get discount almost everywhere.

I also think the weither isn't great for that. I would rather say Spain before the UK. Wheater is great and a lot of spanish people are visiting DLP at the moment but i do think it's too close to Paris.

About the prices? Yes DLP is way more expensive than WDW if you look by it per day. You might not want to spend more than 5 days in DLP because it isn't that big. We (party of 2) mostly stay 2 nights/3 days and it's more than enough. We spend about $750 for 2 nights in a moderate hotel (Sequoia Lodge) wich includes a very simple breakfast every morning (it's so bad in compare to what 'not' Disney hotels give you) and combo tickets for 3 days to two parks.

For our WDW trip we spend $5800 for two weeks in a deluxe resort (AKL) incl. tickets to 6 parks and including the deluxe dining plan.

Thats $387 incl. all meals a day against $250 with nothing. And yes we do eat in restaurants in DLP so you can add about $200 extra a day for simple lunch and dinner. I think your def getting more for you bucks at WDW!

Disneyland Paris is only a few hours away on the Eurostar, and also loads of visitors to WDW are British, so a Disneyland London would (sadly) never happen.

However, a Paramount Park is due to be opening in London in 2018, and there are rumours the current Warner Bros. Studio Tour will be expanded into a WB Movie World, so at least there will be something. :)

The weather isn't such a huge issue. In the summer, the weather is mild but fine for theme parks, and in the winter the weather is cold, but Paris is actually colder.

What I would like to see is something similar to DisneyQuest open in central London. Perhaps near Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square. I think that would go down really well. They should also open one in NYC.
