I only got the first year. You get a magazine a few times a year. Much of it was not-very-veiled ads. Some is info, but it isn't all that well written. The pages are good quality, though. It came packed in cardboard and a plastic sleeve to keep it in pristine condition.

I'm incorporating it into a two-week stay at DL/DCA, so if it's a flop all is not lost, we'll still have loads of time to get really familiar with the parks.
As of now just that, but it's a long way out. Morgan and I can easily self-entertain in the parks for the whole time, but since we'll be meeting up with a few WDWMagic friends who think we're crazy to spend two weeks doing that, we might change things up. He has a Deluxe DLR AP and I have a Premier that we got mainly for this trip, so I'm not averse to getting our money's worth.

They haven't come to Canada yet though!
I feel ya! When I first signed up they were charging International shipping to Canada as well, it more than doubled the total IIRC. It's still expensive, but the did drop it a lot to Canada.
Well, the jury is still out on the Silver membership, though I've determined that the magazine is not really worth $40 to me. If I really want it sometime later, I can always upgrade my membership (if I join at all).
I never had any perks.
