They did a few years ago, when they had the set of commericials with the man proposing by giving the girl a glass slipper, the family catching "Tinker Bell" in glass jar, and the man talking to his wife in a Donald Duck voice. IMO, these were the best spots Disney has ever made..
Wow. I totally forgot about those commercials. I love the Tinkerbell catching one, also the one with the little girl getting dressed up as Cinderella to go to the parks. Those two always got me all sentimental feeling.
The funniest one was the man with the ice cream cone trying to look all buff for Cinderella and then his wife comes up to him and spoils his romantic moment. I'm laughing now just thinking about it!

We get ads for WDW & DLP. Plus ads for SW (Orlando) & Gusch Gdns - nothing "regional" about these

What about the other non-Disney parks? Does everyone see ads for those in far away locals? I have lived in Florida my whole life and see ads for Universal, SeaWorld, Wet N' Wild, FLA USA, Kissimmee St. Cloud, Ect. ALL THE TIME!! Do they market so heavily everywhere?

As a sidenote I travel with my job.. A LOT. I'll never forget my first time in the Midwest when I actually saw a DL ad, I thought I was going to cry! :D

The only of those places I've ever seen commericals for (in MA) are Universal and Kissimee/ St Cloud.

Also, from the older batch of commercials people were talking about, my favorite was definitely the middle-aged chubby guy who sucks in his gut upon seeing Cinderella as "So This is Love" plays. Very well done. :D

I also like the new one with the characters wishing for things, except that I'm not crazy about the animation. Mickey just doesn't look right in 3D!!

I've seen lots of ads for Universal and a couple for Kissimmee. That's about it.

My favorite commercial is the one where the kids are trying to sneak into the parents room to wake them up early to leave for their trip to Disney and the parents are sitting on their bed ready to go (mouse ears and all). Soooo much like our house on departure day! ºoº

I've never seen a DL commercial. My mother lives in CA (just south of Sacramento) and she sees them all the time there, naturally. We get tons of WDW commercials. Remember the one with the parents and two kids at one of the value resorts? The kids got up early, got ready and went to wake the parents and they were already dressed sitting on the bed? That would be my husband and me!!! As much as my daughter loves WDW, I'm usually the first up and ready to head out early every day.

We also get LOTS of six flags commercials. Since there is now one just a couple of hours away in New Orleans, the commercials are much more frequent. Cool commercials, though. Love the "We Like to Party" music and the old dude.

The major reason, regardless of geography, is that WDW is a vacation destination, and the DLR is just a two (three max) day thing. TWDC would rather take you to WDW and have you spend a week worth of money there than two days at DLR, even though it is the original park. They do closer to Anahiem advertising for DLR because it is easier to get there and then spend one or two nights and drive back.

I completely agree! My mother doesn't understand why we won't go to DL (she lives in CA) instead of WDW. I keep telling her that there is not enough to do for a long vacation. She will just have to come to WDW with us.

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
