At GREAT expense I should be getting the Disney Treasures DVD's imported after Christmas and I found when reading reviews that a second wave is planned.
Personally I would like to see the remaining few Silly Symphonies, Donald, Pluto and Goofy packs similar to Mickey and TV shows something like Duck Tales.
What does anyone else want? The possibilities are vast.

Here we go, here we go:

"Walt Disney World", just like the Disneyland Treasures DVD which i am obsessed with right now! Maybe one of the CD's dedicated to Walt's dream of Epcot, or the differnet birthday celebrations? (tencennial, 15 Years (my personal fav.), Mickey's 60, etc...

Donald's Bee Pictures. ;)

Disney Afternoon (circa late 80's, early 90's)

How bout this one for a random thought....a documentary of retired rides! Not that this would ever happen but I think it would be a cool keepsake (that would be constantly obsolete I guess!)

:hammer:

I think thay should do a Zorro set like they did with Davy Crockett. I think a Goofy, Donald, Chip n' Dale, and pluto set would also be great. Perhaps some of the Alice Comedies might be interesting. And of course one based on MK, Epcot, MGM, and what the heck why not AK. They could even include bonus footage of things they're planning on building or changing in the future.

I picked up Davy Crockett at our local Super Wal-Mart but I also saw some at the Disney Store. You can also order them off of the Disney website. They're called "Disney Treasures" and there are 4 out right now. Silly Symphonies, Mickey Mouse, Davy Crockett, and Disneyland. They run for about $20.00, hope you can find them.

Disney World

i would LOVE to see something about Walt Disney World on DVD!!! I mean, i just got the book about epcot that came out in 1982. Walt disney's epcot: creating the world of tomorrow or something like that. Anyway, i saw a show on MSNBC a couple of years ago, i think on time and again, about disney world and land.

Wishing theyd come out with one!

I think they are most likely to release an EPCOT version as a MK DVD would detract from the DL one. Even though I prefer MK, EPCOT would make a better DVD.

I wouldn't exactly count on there being one for MK or Epcot... First, the ones that have been released are all a numbered limited edition and to my knowledge, they have not made any statements about expanding this collection. Second, the full name for these is the Walt Disney Treasures... Anyone who has actually seen any of the current ones out will understand what I'm talking about. These really aren't the most commercially designed DVD's and they are highlighting parts of classic Disney that Walt was directly involved with. While he was involved with the early stages of WDW, he never saw much of any of it beyond design plans and Epcot as it is today, was not to be found anywhere in his design... The Disneyland one features a lot of Walt himself which is something that would be greatly lacking in any DVD released about WDW.

marketing under a different line

Maybe they could just market the DVD under a different line, or a line all unto itself. Instead of calling it treasures, maybe they could do something else. I personally would LOVE to see something about all of the theme parks across the globe. I saw on EBAY last night a video from TOKYO DISNEY SEA. It was narrated in Japanese, but I was tempted to buy it. Ill never make it to Tokyo, however, seeing this video may pursuade me to go. I honestly think it would be a great PR things for the parks. It would make people want to go visit because they see things on tape and would think: "holy cow, this is great! I wanna go!" I dont know, maybe its just me. I have that problem when I watch concert videos. I see them on the DVD and i am like: "WOW! I want to see them live!" Oh well, its too bad that disney execs dont read these posts..lol. I really do wish they would release SOMETHING about the parks (other than the free vacation video lol, ive already got a lot of those!)
I guess ill just have to go buy a DVD burner and make my own for personal viewing. (I dont need a lawsuit! lol)

Believe me, if they thought they could get away with it, I'm sure they would. You would buy such a thing and I probably would to but there is a good chance that it would backfire on them with the general public viewing it as more of a for sale vacation planning video than as something people would actually want.. They sell the videos about the parks in the individual parks and I think it would be cool if they did combine them into something larger but unfortunately, I just don't see it happening. :( I'd love to be wrong, though :)

I have read an interview with Leonard Maltin the guy that basically made the Walt Disney Treasures happen and he actually said there would be a second set similar to the first released at the end of this year.
Also what I meant about an EPCOT DVD would mainly Walts vision of a future city with bits of information on what it turned out to be.

No offense but I don't think they are going to release a DVD that shows how Walt's vision of a near utopian model city that was to be partially funded by sponsors was turned into a large theme park funded entirely by paying guests and sponsors... For reasons that I have elaborated on several times before in this forum, it's probably a good thing that Walt didn't get his way in the end with Epcot because it would have been poised to ruin the company. A lot of people that don't look at the real financial and sociological aspects of the project that Walt was trying to start don't seem to agree with this opinion and always seem irritated with Epcot, giving the impression that it somehow insults Walt's memory... The truth is that he wasn't perfect. He had a lot of failures in his lifetime along with the many stories of success. The Disney Co. might not have been able to recover from Epcot, though... As a matter of fact, the construction of the theme park for Epcot had a hand in nearly destroying the company... There is a reason that you don't ever really hear the Disney Co. elaborate on Walt's original plans whenever they talk about his version of EPCOT.
