Was just wondering, do the resort buses go to the transportation and ticket center and visa versa?. I've never really paid attention because I've never needed to go there or back to the resort from there. Thanks

-Disney Resort buses heading to the Magic Kingdom go directly to the front gates of the park.
-Shades of Green, the Hotel Plaza Blvd and all off-site buses go to the TTC.
-Disney inter-park transfer buses from Studios and Animal Kingdom go to the TTC. (Epcot uses the monorail, obviously)

Confused...the TTC is where the monorail launches from, correct?

How do the buses get to the front gates? I thought you had to take the monorail. I'm using buses for the first time this trip, and will be kinda bummed if I don't get to ride the monorail to the Magic Kingdom!

On our first day we are spending a few hours at DHS before heading to TL. What is the quickest way to get there? If I was to take a bus to Sarasota Springs can I walk to the marketplace and jump on any bus and get to TL before going to that resort?

Bus transportation within Saratoga Springs can take a while... Your best bet might be to go to either the Swan & Dolphin via the boat (S&D are the first stop on the boat) and walk out front to catch the bus; or bus to a resort like French Quarter or Caribbean Beach and switch buses there.

You could always catch the monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom. We did this one night after leaving Epcot at closing. Magic Kingdom was having EMH that evening, so we hopped on and rode the monorail over to the TTC and then caught the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom gates. Kids thought it was cool to ride everything all in one night (caught bus back to Pop when we were done). It depends on your resort whether or not you can catch the monorail right to Magic Kingdom.

The buses from the resorts drop you off right at the front gates of Magic Kingdom, or at the bus pick-up area just outside the gates at least. Each resort has a specific drop-off/pick-up area with Pop Century's being the furthest away (of course, cause that is where we always stay :ROFLOL:). I think they usually try to drop you off right up front though, and then you head to your resort-specific area for pick-up.

Not exactly. The above is true for transfers to/from Magic Kingdom, but not ALL inter-park trasnsfers. There is a bus from Studios that goes directly to Epcot and one that goes directly to Animal Kingdom ... these buses don't stop at the TTC. Similarly, there is a bus from Animal Kingdom that goes directly to Studios and one that goes directly to Epcot.

Geez, Rob, how many years has it been that you've made perfect posts? Don't start getting sloppy now! :ROFLOL::wave: ... just kidding, of course ....

There are buses to DHS and AK from the TCC for everyone that parks at the TCC (I suppose some people do if they are going to hop and don't want to pay for parking more than once) or for the resorts that offer bus service.

Once you pay for parking once you do not have to pay again if you switch parks. They give you a ticket that has the date on it.

Hey, in my defense, my response was meant to only be an answer about travel to/from the Magic Kingdom... ;-)

Our last two trips, we were very impressed with the bus system. We never waited more than 10 minutes from our resort, of course we stayed at moderates each time.
