Disney to Take Back the Disney Stores

I just got a phone call from the store managers regarding this information. From what I heard if Disney does buy us back, they will close 1/3 of the stores. I'm hoping since we are a high volume store and do very well that we won't be one of them. My fingers are crossed!

I did not think that Disney was successful with the stores before Children's Place took the stores over. I would not be surprised if Disney finds someone else to take over the stores or closes them altogether.

Disney overextended themselves by opening too many stores. That was where the problem began. With them saying that they would close 1/3 of the current stores, that would help with that problem and make the stores more of a destination rather than at every mall.

Isn't Childrens place already closing like 1/3 of the stores right now?

I hope this works out for all the Disney Store Cast Members on WDWMagic. I would love to be a Disney Cast Member again!! Time will tell.

Thank you very much for writing that. Many Disney Store CMs only hear bad things and it's so nice to hear somebody wishing us well.

I heard that it's going to be 6 weeks until the stores that they are going to be closing are announced. It's going to be a long 6 weeks.

I just noticed your signature. It is great. I still sometimes think even though we work for another company...what would Walt do in this situation. Here is hoping for trips to property control in our future again.

Regardless of what happens, since we were purchased by TCP, all of us are still Disney CMs regardless of what other people think-we all still work for Walt.
