While watching an episode with my DW, I asked her if I were to do a major Disney Themed redesign of our home, which room would she want done and which theme would she prefer?

Her reply: "Our sunroom should be 100 Acre Woods and our foyer/entrance way should have a mural of Main Street USA.

"And our bedroom?"

"..........Fantasy Land."

Besides bedrooms, which rooms in your home would you be wiling to redo using a Disney Theme?

Our bathroom has a "Winne ther Pooh" theme (classic of course.) No jokeing. We have always been big winne the pooh fans (we had a joke that my husband was Eeyore and I was Piglet.) I didn't plan to make it Pooh themed, but that was the shower curtain that macthed all our towels and the colors of our bathroom when we moved in. Also all the wood acents went will with the "Hundred Acre Woods" theme and we had all the decorative peices all ready. It has a bit more of a garden theme, my hubby thinks this is funny, our bathroom is "Pooh's Garden".

We just refinshed our basemant as a play room. My hubby wants to make murals of the castle, Epcot, Tree of Life and the Hat on the walls. Too bad he isn't an artist.

My kitchen/diningroom would look great as a replica of the Whispering Canyon at the WL.
The bathroom is probably the easiest to do...love those Mickey glove accessories.

My husband and I actually rennovated our downstairs bathroom as Mickey/Disney theme. Came out really nice and is now everyone's favorite place "to go".

If you used a photocopy onto an overhead projecter using ascetate (the clear stuff they use) then he could copy the lines no problem and then colour it in, i have seen this done to good effect in an old friends bedroom years ago, they used this to pencil in the lines for Jungle Book so he had all the characters, it works very well.

The master bathroom is full of the tropical Mickey stuff that was in this past summer's catalogs. Lots of blue.

My den is a mishmash of Disney stuff. I created a collage on one wall with calender art from years past. On another wall i have frame upon frame of the limited edition lithographs displayed. I even have Mickey icons at the ceiling as a border.

I LOVE While You Were Out! Great show! TLC has the best design shows ;) Even though I know you said besides you bedrooms...but I would ask for my bedroom. I am actually going to start soon on redecorating. My plan right now, is for anything Disney. I have an old guitar just like the Rock N Roller Coaster HUGE one. I plan on using photos I have and going somewhere to blow it up to poster size. No real theme. Just anything Disney. :sohappy:

One of our bathrooms is done all in Mickey mouse. I even have Mickey on my Toilet Seat.

My computer room in the basement is totally done in Walt Disney decor. I have 4 walls painted Mickey colors..One Red, One Yellow, Two Black and Ceiling White. I have 6 Park posters on the walls and 2 bookshelves full of Disney Memorabilia.

If they made Main Street with Castle view or EPCOT wall paper...I would have it. :sohappy:

When my wife and I got married, our apartment's bathroom was in a Mickey theme. I want to revive that buy my wife says no.

We purchased our home about a year ago and are working from top to bottom to re-do everything. Our main area of our basement will be a rec-room, with all disney art. We have several attraction posters and are planning on getting more. Along with that I have a blueprint of the Natilus that I will frame as well as many, many photographs. My office which is also in the basement will also be Disney themed. Right now all that I have in there is framed Andy Wharhol Mickey prints, and a few other misc. Disney prints. I liked the idea someone else posted about the Mickey colors for the room. I will try to convince my wife on that one. I may get away with it because it is my office and it is the basement.

Some nice ideas, folks! Thanks for sharing.

My DW doesn't know it yet but I'm planning on repainting her arts & craft room which is right off our master bedroom. Since I'm no Picasso (hell, I always paint over the lines) I was planning on using alot of stencils and stickers/decals. I'm searching for a stencil now of Cinderella's castle, I recall seeing one in the past and now I can't find it any longer. Search engines have come up nada.

Just redid my room and it's inspired by Sunset Blv/Hollywood Tower/Vintage Hollywood. Lots of black and white photos and post cards on the walls. I'll get some photos soon. I also have my "Disney Shelf" across my wall.

my wife and i are still newlyweds (and HUGE disney fans...) and we just recently bought our new house which we're completely rennovating. Rather than just one room, we're kind of turning the whole house into a mini WDW. Each room has its own theme. Our room including the master bath is getting a victorian/gothic look to it (much like the haunted mansion). One guest room is going to be southwest like Coronado Springs/Mexican Pavilion, the other guest room will be patterned after the Wilderness Lodge. The upstairs bathroom will be the Retro/20's bathroom ala Hollywood Tower Hotel. The hallway that connects them all is light blue with white accents so that it's like flying through the air to visit all these places...and also kind of a tribute to "if you had wings" which my wife never rode but i still love.
The living room will be a duplicate (or close to) the Grand Floridian style...light colors, very open...etc..
Our dining room is starting to be patterned after L Originale d' Alfredo in italy, complete with mural... Our family room and game room have a kind of mixed Polynesian/Carribean Beach theme and we've actually made a sign for our indoor tiki bar that proclaims it as "The Dawa Bar - Beta" in tribute to the dawa bar at AK. Outside, our pool and deck will hopefully one day resemble yacht and beach club complete with a really cool little lighthouse thing i found to cover the pool pump/equipment.
And our downstairs bathroom will be soon redone as the "Mickey Bathroom" complete with mickey taps/faucets and decorated in mickey colors (black, yellow, red, etcc...)
We're trying to make the outside a cross between POFQ and Haunted Mansion (not completely haunted mansion because we'd rather not get thrown out of the neighborhood, but i took the liberty of intalling flickering lights in all the new light fixtures we've put in outside such as the front porch light...

Yes...we're crazy...but we love it.... sorry for the long post, but i was just REALLY excited to see other people doing this too!:sohappy:
