Disney Theatricals

This isn't directly connected to the Disney parks, but I thought I might post it just in case other people might be interested.

I was at a conference this weekend and met someone who works for Disney Theatricals, the company within the corporation that puts together the Broadway and touring productions of shows like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Aida. In addition to their plans to move over the Mary Poppins musical from London, they are currently working on two other musicals, the first based on Tarzan (this guy had had a recent meeting with Phil Collins) and the next based on The Little Mermaid. I though I had heard of the Tarzan plans before, but I'd never heard of the second.

Anyway, this may be old news, but I thought I'd post it just in case...:)

If you can contact them again, tell them the Windsor Light Opera's production of Beauty and the Beast was beautiful this past weekend! :sohappy:

That is really interesting because I have heard that Disney's The Little Mermaid play has a spectacular script. My high school was thinking about doing that but it was just too complicated.

Yea...Tarzan is opening for Previews in March till I believe May and then the show opens in May 10. It is taking over the Richard Rodgers Theater where Movin' Out is now, but will be closing in Decemer. Tickets go on sale November 20th to the General Public!!!

I heard the show should be amazing. Most of it is done in the air. Here is the link to Disney's Website for it. http://disney.go.com/disneytheatrical/tarzan/
I absoultley love the icon for the show. I can't wait to get a t-shirt or something!
