I received a letter in the mail yesterday inviting me to take a survey since I am a passholder.

Just took it this morning and wanted to let yal know that this is the first time I was asked what unofficial websites I visit for Disney information. So of course, I listed wdwmagic and deb wills.

Just thought yal would find that interesting.

They're just jealous because all these unofficial websites have sooo much more information then they do.

Maybe now they'll come here and take some advice from true disney fanatics about how to run their parks.:D

I doubt they'll pay much attention to us. After all, we have no experience (most of us) in theme park operations. Why would such a large, well-run organization like Disney listen to consumers? They know what's best for us, and what we want to see.

*gets off his sarcastic soapbox*

If, by some miracle, they did pay attention to us, they'd probably make lots more money from theme park operations, and the number of people unhappy with the parks would drop. A lot. So many of the ideas thrown around in here are quite good.

Unfortunatley normally people don't think about the concept of money. Eg. "I think they should rebuild the whole of tomorrowland because I don't like it the way it is, i bet it won't get done because of Eisner!"

But yeah some of the ideas in here are good and it would be nice to see some of them implemented!

THIS IS SOOOOOOO TRUE! Seriously the official site has next to nothing to really explain to you what things are. You read it and then still wonder, "what is that?".

That site could be much more knowledge friendly.

I've often seen posts on here where folks state that Disney execs would never waste their time on these boards. Maybe someday that won't be the case.

What a complete waste of free information and opinion. Who would spend tons of research money to find out the publics opinions/wants/needs/desires when is posted right here.:hammer:

Maybe Disney will ask Steve and DebWills to head up their research depts.....just remember your friends if this happens.

I am almost positive that Disney execs do look at these boards. I have heard stories from some people of this, although obviously I cant prove it. Steve and Deb would be AMAZING as a resource to find out what people want. Disney should only be so lucky to get them, but as Gucci said, if so please remember your friends over here on the boards!!! I was asked via e-mail yesterday to fill out a survey about the Magical Gatherings software I had downloaded and used. That survey also asked about which webites I visited and where I had first heard about Magical Gatherings. I indicated this site of course! Interesting that they cared in two different surveys!

They asked what you like about the ap, what you didn't like, if you knew certain discounts were available, how likely you were to use the discounts, how you liked the Mickey monitor, how old, f/m, how much you make, zip code, etc. The whole thing took about 10 mins.

But I was suprised by the website question.

We can only hope they will lisen.

Ya know I wonder how many people that took the survery listed this site as a source. I bet it was a good many. Having searched that web for quite some time on disney info. I would have to say that this one and intercot are some of the best that I have come across.

Its probably so they can put people on the websites to create rumours and look for Disney fans reactions. I'm sure they must employ these sorts of tactics.

I read rumours are made by people that want attention. Strange because obviously not meant to know who started a rumour but there you go.

I suppose it could work like on hear alot people may start silly rumours to see how many people reply.

(Never forget the one-upmanship in rumours: i know something you don't!)

If Disney execs want to follow in Walt's footsteps, they should be looking at these sites. Walt always made sure to go out into the park and talk to different people to see what they thought about his park. If Walt were living today, he would definitely surf the web to find out the good and bad about his parks.
