Disney Studio, Journey to Narnia closed?

No, this was a small waste of time walkthrough attraction. You entered through the wardrobe into a small cold woodsy scene with a big screen in front of you that played basically an extended trailer for the movie. Then someone dressed as the witch came out and said a bit of dialogue, then you left. Its not a big loss at all.

They are suppose to be updating it to include the new Narnia movie coming out. Believe it or not, I have one son who LOVES this attraction, he takes alot of kidding from the rest of the family!!!! He actually likes the part that has the movie props, he loves the Narnia series.

I thought it was quite boring, but seeing the props accually used in the movie at the end were cool. Im on the fence on whether it would be a loss to loose this or not.

You summed it up exactly. I had been looking forward to seeing this attraction in October 2006 but every time we were at the Studios it was closed. Then in October 2007 I "finally" got to see it. What a waste of my time and space in the studios.

There will be many movies in the Narnia series and it appears that the space will be used to promote each movie in a similar manner. The first walkthrough proved very popular and I think they will up the quality in this new version. I think they underestimated how many people would go through it over it's tenure. So look for the new version to be more coherent and hopefully exciting. :)

If people still want to see the older Narnia props, they've been moved to the prop warehouse that is part of the queue for the Backlot Tour in the Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Thought it was pretty cool at first glance. After getting yelled at by the witch I was having all sorts of thoughts about what was coming next. Thought it might be some role-playing. Figured they would hand us all fake swords or something. Then discovered that was it! Would have been interesting to have had more characters on more sets.

Narnia is closed until sometime in May. It SHOULD reopen by then .... might be delayed, who knows. The reason is to fit it for the new film, Prince Caspian, as well as some construction for Pixar Place and the removal of the firework pads that stand tall adjacent to the GMR building.

I hope you are right about PC walkthrough. Are they definitely removing the "firework pad"? That thing has really become an eyesore. Can't wait to see the final result of Pixar Place.

Haha, oh man. We didn't even know what it was...just that it had something to do with Narnia. So we waited in this long line, thinking it was a ride, and well...we were quite shocked when the doors opened. Though, now we look back and laugh because we waited so long to go into a room and watch a movie trailer. :)

:ROFLOL:We liked it...course we love all things Narnia, and seeing some of the props & costumes up that close was fun for my theatrical 18 year old. Hope the new one is good, too...although I don't think it'll open until after we're there in mid-May.
