Disney Stores offically sold?

just an update to fellow Disney store castmembers,was told by my manager that a major announcement will be made on oct 1 about the stores futures.I was planning on going to WDW in december but she told me I better go in september to be safe.She was told that she will have to do major recruting for christmas because she will probably have a large loss of employees after oct 1.A lot of us at our store only work there for the WDW discounts.So we have planned a september trip to get my last discounts good buy Disney store

My manager told me the same thing about the October 1st announcement. I just want to get this done and over with. Sell us... and lets move on.

My store is in the same boat, walts son 1971, everyone who works there works for the benefits -- with the exception of the management team. I've decided I'll stay. I really enjoy the team of managers I work with, the hours I get, and working at the mall.

I hope that the disneystores aren'nt sold becuse I like to go to the disneystore. There is a disneystore at the mall that I shop at I like everything they have at that store. I filled out an aplection for the disneystore and nothing happend I whold have like to work at the disneystore becuse it is a neat palce and it rememeds me of disneyworlds stores. I liked how the disneystore used to sell disneyworld and disneyland books and cds form the disneyparks. The store at the mall that I go to used to sell the main street electrical parade cds and disneyworld music and now I have to go to disneyworld to buy the cds but I don'nt minde becuse think that they make good sovennerds and a great way to remberber my trip to the parks. I whould like to see the cds and books sold at the disneystores again the way that the stores used to be like.

As much as it pains me to say this, I hope that they are sold... From the companys standpoint, if the stores arent sold soon - we will all be shut down...and I know we all don't want that.

I agree monorail 256 Ive been a castmember at our store for over 6 years and Im ready for it to be over.I will not be staying on to work for the childrens place unless our discounts dont change.Cant imagine Disney giving the same discounts to the childrens place employees,If Disney was smart they would give the childrens place employees some kind of discount to the parks.But we all know how smart Disney has been the last couple years.Its been a good time working there Im the only original castmember left there from when I started 6 years ago.Im sure many at our store will leave at the change over.Good luck to all those who stay and I hope it all works out.

It's a sad time for The Disney Stores. I wish that upper management (who now is selling us) wouldn't have messed with our products! I think we would be in much better shape had they not!

I was talking to some of the Kodak people when I was at WDW, and it seems they get all of the benefits for the most part (discounts) as WDW CMs do, so why not let TDS keep our benefits if and when we are sold? I just hope that if this does happen, we find out about it first. I would hate to read about it here or hear about it on TV. We'll see...
