The premise of WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER? is a weak one: Chick reads in a chick magazine that if you've slept with 20 people, you've missed your "Mr. Right." It feeds on the irrational fears that people bother to ask (or believe) what their lover's lover count is. (Or, for poor Dante - 37!) Since people get hung up on numbers with young starlets, I thought we'd look at a few who are holding onto the precious 19 right now.
Demi Lovato
I don't know much about Demi's acting or music. I've seen her face staring at me from various products in the market that they aim at children but aside from that, I'm only familiar with her tabloid shenanigans. And the girl has got some major ones. Reportedly she screwed around with Wilmer before she was of legal age, beat up one of her back-up dancers and has had an addiction to coke, as well as the eating disorder that she's actually owned up to. The next Lindsay? Or the next Drew? I can't tell with her.
Miley Cyrus
Now I am familiar with Miley Cyrus' music and acting. She's one of the bigger names out of the House of Mouse and I'll admit that the first time I heard "Party in the U.S.A." over some mall speakers, I didn't know it was her. But this thing grates on my nerves. I have trouble listening to her speak, let alone watching her do it with the mouth full of unnaturally large veneers she has. She's cute in some cases but I just can't see her growing into something more diverse or interesting.
Selena Gomez
All Justin Bieber jokes aside, I actually really adore Selena Gomez. She has a sweet voice to take the edge off her bland pop music, a genuine smile that doesn't make her look as if she's been stripped of her soul and her speaking voice is startlingly husky for such a petite gal. (I liked her in RAMONA & BEEZUS - not an entirely horrible kid flick.) Out of all of the Disney chicks, Selena strikes me as having the best potential.
