Disney Smells

Sometimes I'll be sitting at my desk or even on the couch at home and be thinking of Disney, and I'll get this sudden smell of the train as it goes by when you walk under the front gates. It's a smell that brings me right to the park as if I am walking in right now about to look up and see Cinderella's Castle.

Do you ever have times when you swear you can "smell" Disney?

In hindsight, I should have called this thread "The Smells of Disney" or something cuter than "Disney Smells" :)

Yes!! Just the other day, after it rained, we were taking a walk and my DS who is 6, said, that puddle smells like Disney water. Not sure what he meant by it but when I mentioned it to DH he said, yes I know what he means. Another time I thought I smelled Flame Tree BBQ while passing by an Applebees. lol

I have been lightly watering the trunk of my wife's car for a couple of weeks  (hi honey)

I'm trying to get that monorail scent..... (almost there)

Now just put some sweaty tourists in there for about 20 minutes, that should nail it!

The flowers around esp at EPCOT we went on vacation on yr with the local h.s. and this one girl would just go around saying "what's that smell?" It was an on going joke the whole trip. But ironically it would be the same flower everywhere.:ROFLOL:
AHHH memories!

I certainly know what you're talking about!! I love to catch a whiff of Disney when I'm out and about, especially when I'm missing it the most.

Sometimes I smell the FL water when I wash my hands at certain places

The smells of certain restaurants remind me Disney restaurants. In particular, I was somewhere recently and my boyfriend and I both smelled it at the same time, looked at each other, and said "California Grill"! :ROFLOL:

Sometimes just the way the sky looks or the air feels puts me there too. I swear FL has the bluest, clearest skies.

The first time I ever walked into the Beach Club it had a "beachy" smell that I have never forgotten, and sometimes I smell it in candles or lotions. Unfortunately, I have been back to the Beach Club twice (Cape May Cafe) and that smell is either gone or different.

And of course anytime I smell a home-cooked meal I think of my home away from home, the Wildnerness Lodge.

Ok now I'm getting all sad, missing it again

I've posted this a few times in a few threads (for various reasons).

I've found that Tide Mountain Spring detergent on the hot cycle of my washer smells like the inside of a Disney bus. Not like full bus of sweaty toursits but like empty morning bus. I legit stick my head down to sniff it.

Or I'm crazy. :lookaroun

I swear I've smelt Soarin a couple of times this week. Of course I smell Norway every day since my better half is a Laila fan, so am I :D.

There's that musty water smell from Splash Mtn., Pirates, and Small World that I love, and I think about it and it takes me right to the MK.

One time a friend of mine had some gum, and we both agreed it smelled just like the food from the Be Or Guest scene in Phillarmagic! That was very cool!

This might seem rather cooky as the scent I like is the electrical/rubber smell inside the loading dock of Dinosaur and Test Track...Any time I go to my auto dealer for an oil change...It has that same kind of scent...

But my all time favorite is Geir Ness The Power of Norway...At least it's a scent that's bottled and it can smell like the Puffin's Roost..
