Disney Sets the Standards

EE has not even been built yet & people are complaining about the fact that it is just a coaster. Hello, nobdy on this board designed this thing, nobody on this board even knows what the coaster is going to ride like.

I agree but from all the pictures it does seem like a RollerCoaster with some "theme" around it....

You either like this kind of ride or not and I dont personally. I just wish they would have created something not "coatster like"...imo of course :)

I think I can speak for all of us here that its not a case of us not liking WDW, its a case of us not wanting it to go to the birds. Even the people who Eisner bash most I'm sure still appreciate all the good things he's done while he's been here. Most of our complaints are little things that make impressions such as simple maintanence. If you read the overwhelming majority of the boards we are discussing how much we LOVE Walt Disney World and how we can't wait to go back.

WDW Parks General

As I stated in my previous post, I have been to WDW numerous times and I don't see anything going to pot in any of the parks or resorts. There are a lot more posts right now in this section with comments like "Eisner sucks" and critcisms of rides not even open yet than any real legitimate gripes that I can see. When people make statements like there is no more magic or imagination at Disney I think they are wrong. If they have had a bad experience at a park or hotel then they should say what went wrong and then maybe we can benefit from their experience. Did they tell anyone while they were there? Was nothing done about it? Those are the kinds of posts that I find helpful.

Chipped paint on Buzz, heck paint chipped just about everywhere. When I first started visiting Disney, you didn't see chipped paint on attractions, in line or on light poles even. And if you did, it wasn't there the next day. When work was done, it was done out of the guest's view to keep it exciting and magical. That's one of the little things we, and I mean the people I travel with, twice a year to WDW. I also discussed the change in the valet parking system. In 1998 and earlier, valet parking was free to all WDW resort guests. In 2000, we had a rental car again, and valet parking was no longer free. Between 1998 and 2000 a $6.00 per day charge was assessed and Mr. Eisner was the person who was quoted in the newspaper as saying that the charge was comparable what people were paying at other resorts across the country. My mother always told us not to stoop to the other person's level, always take the high road. This valet parking thing is not the high road IMHO.
