Adventureland Part 1
Note: The front half is phase 1 of Adventureland (Colonial Landing, Jungle Outpost, and Lost Kingdom) and features signs in English, Brazilian, and Esperanto. In story, Esperanto is the language of the people of the Lost Kingdom. In reality, Esperanto is a synthetic language developed as an easier to learn alternative to English made up of the syllables of various European worlds. I like the sound and look of the words and there's a slight familiarity with them that works for audiences world wide. Tales of the Jungle takes place on the Lost Kingdom Lake and several seasonal shows will take place on the lake as well. Major seasonal shows will take place on the castle stage, while minor shows such as greetings will take place in thematically appropriate lands.

We cross through Adventure Garden, filled with it's overgrown trees and vines. We might happen upon the Nomad Drummers or encounter characters from Up or Moana as we explore the garden, but soon enough we come upon a large sign that says Adventureland. We walk underneath the sign and into a colonial village in the shadow of a large volcano on one side and the governor's mansion on the hill on the other. This is the fictional British colony of Bazilio. Colonial Landing is the first miniland of Adventureland.

A British mining colony centered around extracting precious gems and jewels from Fajro Monto, Fire Mountain. Fire Mountain is a massive E-ticket rollercoaster through, in, and around Fajro Monto as we go on an expedition deep into the mountain to find precious stones, but are instead forced into an encounter with the vicious monster that lives inside. We exit into Gifts of Fajro Monto, a gift shop that specializes in fine jewelry.

Built into the volcano, the world famous Adventurer's Club is reborn. With all the wacky and silly hijinks of the former Downtown Disney club, The Adventurer's Club is sure to let guests enjoy an evening of entertainment and fun. Kungaloosh!

There's also the governor's mansion. Sitting high on a hill, mysterious things have happened here. It's rumored that it's so full of ghosts that the locals have begun to call it La Sorčita Palaco, The Haunted Mansion. This all new take on a Disney classic takes us to another branch of the family that owns other Haunted Mansions. This one is a much scarier take on the mansion, run down, dilapidated, and with some ghosts angry at being disturbed. Some of the scenes are a shot for shot remake, while others are all new or new takes on the original. Just next to the mansion, in the old garden shed, Memoru Morto offers merchandise themed to the mansion and Fire Mountain.

We move along, past the colonial village and into the jungles beyond. This is the outpost of The Jungle Navigation Company. Offering The Jungle Cruise Exploration, The Jungle Navigation Company has invited us to explore their outpost and it's little surprises. Professor Mercurial of the company has opened his Treehouse of Curiosities to show off the strange and astonishing he's discovered. Also, Skipper John and Skipper Jane's Animal (Half) Hour takes the wit and corniness of the Jungle Cruise Exploration to the street with a street show featuring some of the animals seen on the cruise in the stuffing. Not to be outmatched by John and Jane, other skippers with culinary skill have opened the Skipper Cantina next to the docks and other enterprising skippers have opened Outpost Gifts for all guests to get that last minute before they leave! That was rude. Before they please leave.

The paths of the Jungle Outpost begin thinning out with cracks in the pavement and we are sent through a winding tree tunnel. This transports us into the past as we arrive at the height of Komuneko, the Lost Kingdom of Bazilio. Lost Kingdom reveals itself as a massive jungle kingdom. It is here that three classic stories have come to life and gods roam freely among the citizens and visitors. As we walk in, we see a large lake backed by a temple with three stages on the coast, an Indian inspired stage, an African inspired stage, and a jungle inspired stage. Just as we arrive, the citizens of Komuneko begin a procession onto the stages. We take a seat in one of the three viewing areas and begin to watch as they present Tales of the Jungle.

Act 1: Procession
The citizens of Komuneko begin their procession, singing an enchanting song as they step onto the stages and begin a celebration. A burst of pyrotechnics from the temple opens a wall, as three stages holding priests and priestesses float out and begin their ritual. The Kingdom of Komuneko bases it's society on three stories, the Story of the Man Cub, the Story of the Lion, and the Story of the Ape. These stories are brought to life and their characters summoned to tell their story as we are brought further and further into the stories. The first group of holy people are brought center lake and smoke begins to rise from the Indian stage as the villagers' clothes are transformed into Indian costumes.

  • Procession
Act 2: The Story of the Man Cub
Baloo and King Louie are summoned as a Priest of the Man Cub begins vocalizing and sitars fill the air. A priestess joins him and take control as she sings the mysterious Trust in Me. Things eventually lighten up though as the priest who vocalized before barges in with The Bear Necessities, about living a carefree life. The number quickly seagues into another priest singing about an orangutain's desires to be human in I Wanna Be Like You. Before the segment ends, The Story of the Man Cub, about why we keep where our family is, is told with all three songs mixed together in The Jungle Book Groove before a Priestess of the Lion stops the music in it's tracks.

  • Trust in Me
  • The Bear Necessities
  • I Wanna Be Like You
  • The Jungle Book Groove
Act 3: The Story of the Lion
A Priestess of the Lion belts out a chant before smoke rises from the African stage and drums fill the air as the villagers on the African stage gain tribal garb. The Priestess sings about the Circle of Life as Rafiki, Timon, and Pumbaa rise up from the stage. Timon stops the celebration to announce his problem free philosophy with Pumbaa, Hakuna Matata. As the song begins to build, a young priestess is revealed. She tells The Story of the Lion, about how we must leave the past behind, before the priestess that began the segment begins singing once more, leading to a grand medley of Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, I Just Can't Wait to Be King, Be Prepared, and Circle of Life in the The Lion King Celebration.

  • Circle of Life
  • Hakuna Matata

Act 4: The Story of the Ape
As the celebration ends, smoke comes up from the Jungle stage as fierce African drums play. The villagers transform into monkeys and explorers as a Priest of the Ape sings about a Son of Man as Tarzan, Jane, and Turk rise from the stage. A Priestess of the Ape calms things down as she sings a lullaby about how You'll Be in My Heart, before being cut off by another Priest of the Ape who sings about Trashing the Camp. The Story of the Ape, a tale of being brave in the face of adversity, is brought to an end as the holy people sing their story in The Tarzan Festival, a medley of You'll Be in My Heart, Son of Man, Trashing the Camp, and Two Worlds.

  • The Story of the Ape
  • Son of Man
  • You'll Be in My Heart
  • Trashing the Camp
  • The Tarzan Festival
Act 5: Finale
The characters begin boarding barges and the floating stages begin circling the water as the Finale commences. The stories told have led us to this, a celebration of the culture of Komuneko. As the stories are told and retold through the ages, Komuneko ages in peace and wisdom that the outside world looses in the Komuneko Carnival. This medley of songs ends with a grand reprise of Tell a Story and as the final notes ares sung, pyrotechnics burst around the lake as the floating stages and the barges float back into the open temple, which closes as the final barge moves in.

  • Komuneko Carnival
After that exhilarating and eye opening performance, we go to the large stone temple next door. This temple is the Temple of the Stone Tiger. This thrilling dark ride-roller coaster hybrid full of Animatronics and special effects is sure to be a new classic E-ticket as us guests attempt to escape from the dark forces of La Kulto de la Tigro. After the close shave there, we venture south and find a large circular stand set up by the villagers to sell their wares in Komuneko Sundries.

We then move onto a deep jungle environment, known as a place where stories live. We first stumble upon the Greeting Circle, a place where one of the holy men and women of Komuneko have summoned a character from their stories to greet guests and guide them along. After meeting a character from The Jungle Book, The Lion King, or Tarzan, we move on to find a large clearing. Here, Hathi's serves up delicious curry and other Indian inspired food, while tucked in a corner, we see a sign that says 'Constrictor Territory. Beware!' in English, Portuguese, and Esperanto. This is Kaa's Grotto, a tucked away nook with a large animatronic Kaa that speaks to us. Kaa's Grotto is in a space saved for future expansion and is planned only as temporary. Finally, The Legend of the Jungle Book takes us on a slow moving boat ride through the amazing world of The Jungle Book and allows us to experience Mowgli's story for ourselves.

Update, I've elected to scrap World's Fair. Everything I really want to do with the park is either in Enchanted Kingdom or Ports of Legend. I haven't decided if I'm going to replace it with a different park or keep the resort to three parks. Stay tuned.

I have an idea to do a resort in Rio of my own, but it depends on how the Olympics turn out. This video, however, may not be particularly promising, as it is claimed that Brazil is being wracked by everything from the Zika virus to political controversies:

Granted, this video was put up a few months ago, so things may have changed since then. Who knows? Maybe the Rio Olympics just might be able to beat the odds. If it does, maybe I can do the Rio park, and it will borrow some from other parks, like Shanghai.

I figure this is completely blue sky. This resort could just as easily be transplanted to another country with some edits. My second choice for the resort is actually South Africa so if it's too unrealistic, picture it there.

Well, I don't want to rain on your parade. This is all your stuff, so I can't really argue this. I'm just saying what I usually do when I do Imagineering stuff. In fact, I think Brazil would probably be more realistic than South Africa. And like I said, Rio might be able to pull this off, just as it had at the 2014 World Cup. The video concludes that this might be the right location, just at the wrong time. Rio has a reputation for a party atmosphere, so there's that, too.
