Disney Rewards Visa question

Today is our last day here and we cashed in $1550 in Disney Visa Rewards points for this trip. I have used it for our dining, and after last night's dinner, I only have around $26 left on it. When I use it tonight at Be Our Guest, I will have to pay the balance out of pocket after using the remaining points. My question is, do they have to know the exact amount left on the card to be able to use the remaining points? I must have thrown away my supper receipt last night and I don't remember the exact amount left on the card. I work at Walmart and from my time cashiering, there are some cards where you can swipe the card and the system will automatically use the remaining balance even if you don't know the exact amount on the card. And there are other cards where we have to type in the exact amount left on the card if the balance of the purchase is greater than the balance left on the card.

We've used our remaining rewards balance on property shops before and they will be able to get the balance for you. One time we were down to a few remaining dollars and cents left and ran the card out on a large purchase. Every penny counts.

Thanks guys, that's good to know. Whenever people get Verizon Rebate cards and they use them at Walmart, we have to know the exact amount on the card, but with Walmart gift cards, it will automatically use the remaining balance, even if we don't know what that balance is. So I could see it going either way. I'm glad to know I don't have to know my exact balance.
