Thank you for your great help with the AKL!! It sounds gorgeous and I can't wait to go. I really don't know how I will make it through the next 39 days! I have some questions about dining. What restaurants would you consider to be the most *disney* themed? Since this is my dad's first trip, I really want to make it special and there are so many restaurants to choose from! It will only be the two of us and I have only eaten in restaurants that are geared towards kids before. I am hoping to find some more grown up restaurants to eat at that are still alot of fun.

Thanks for your help!

I highly recommend heading to the California Grill sitting atop the Contemporary Resort. It is more formal that most restaurants and is not tricked out in Disney, but it probably has the most unbelievable view in all of WDW. It is definitely pricey, but the view of the MK at night, watching the fireworks if lucky enough, is amazing. I would recommend reserving a later time to eat and try requesting a window view, you will not be disappointed!

I love the sci-fi(MGM). The theming is amazing. There are children there but it is very quiet because everyone is taking in the atmosphere. The menu is not sophisticated, but if you enjoy a good burger and a shake you will like this.

The Tepanyaki Dining room in Japan(Epcot WS) is an experience. You will be seated with other parties though. The food is excellent.

L'Originale... (Epcot WS) Nice atmosphere, very good fetticune alfredo and deserts!!! They bring them to your table, you can't resist!!!

Cinderella's Royale Table (Magic Kingdom) How much more Disney can you get! I enjoyed this restaurant. You may have already known about all of these, but they are some of my favorites.

Also, Narcoose's at the Grand Floridian. If you can't get into the California Grill this has a decent view of the fireworks and awesome food. Very good filet and lobster!!!

The 50's primetime cafe in MGM is a hoot. My husband & I went there before we had kids and had a great time. If you enjoy mexican the San Angel Inn in Epcot is quite good.

Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge is supposed to be excellent. My friends rave about it. I haven't tried it yet but we are going to eat there in May.

We had a great meal at the Brown Derby, the atmospere is very cool and relaxing, a contrast to the park. It's a very welcome respite. My daughter had a great filet mignon and I really enjoyed the grouper. Also they made great Cosmopolitans. Having been to the original Brown Derby in Hollywood I can tell you the theming is very authentic, very "old Hollywood". Lots of fun, ask for a booth. And yes you can spend a fortune on food at WDW, but most of it is well worth it.

Oh, yes, that was a great place too. We had an open evening, we were going to wing it at Universal that night, but we found nothing good over there. So we thought, let's try out another resort, and Artist Point came to mind.

The bar area that we waited in before our table was ready was a hoot. The servers were joking with everyone, tring to be matchmakers with single people there. And getting everyone talking to each other. For anyone who's been there, is that bar always like that, or was it just that person that night?

The food at the resuraunt is great. I was adventurus and had the Mixed Grill of Elk Tenderloin, Ostrich and Venison meal. Just wonderful. It's a very quite and romantic place for a dinner.
