I called Disney today trying to find prices for my trip in august. I was quoted (with travel agent discount) 684 dollars for my 9 night stay at Port Orleans Riverside. That's only 76 dollars a night. What a steal!! I am going to check deluxe resort prices too, since believe it or nort I have neve stayed in one. Thinking AKL, WL, or Contemporary.

port orleans riverside is a great resort, and that is a great deal. try to go for a manor room if you choose there, they're closer to col. cotton's mill.

WOW

Sounds like a great deal. Wish I could get one for my trips. (It is so convenient that there are no discounts available for my next two trips.)

Maybe you will get a wonderful deal at AKL and get to watch the animals all day long! :animwink:

That's only $170/night! Even with tax, it's under $200...not a bad price for a deluxe resort...I wouldn't mind paying that! What am I saying...I AM paying that, and feeling like it's very reasonable. The price after Feb 13th goes up to around $350!

I w have to think about it...I don't know if it will fit in to my budget. I want to spend on other things...so maybe I will just stay at PO. I was also looking at WL that is only 1144 for 9 nights and the Contemporary is 1169. And I would rather stay at those I think than AKL (i like their location)

$1169 for the Contemporary! That's an even better price! Is this a special deal for CMs, or can the average "Mom" (who is Florida resident, passholder, AAA member, DC) get in on it?

Well I am a Travel Agent so I get a discounted Rate. They claim it is 50% off but I don't think so. Our friends stayed at POFQ with us last year and they paid the full price and it wasn't double by far.

Question

Is it better to go thru a travel agent? I want to take my Grandmother to Disneyland "neverbeen to California" and I am getting a job by April. I have a LIMITED budget how could I get the best deal? I found a deal of $1,795 for a stay at Disneyland hotel, Round trip airfare and tickets to the parks plus 3 meals. This is the price for both people is that a good deal?

Booking through a TA won't really save u anything. As a Travel Agent though you get Discounts because you give the places business. I have booked numerous trips to Disney World, so I know a lot about the resorts and room types. So if anyone has trip questions about resorts just ask.

You don't mention which "season" you'll be traveling in, but $130/night for Contemporary sounds like 50% off the room rate (or pretty close) I'd jump for it in a heartbeat, and I suspect most other people here would, also!!!

I know you mentioned August, but some of the hotels have different seasons...when I booked for Aug 3rd, it was value season at BWV, and high season at WLV...a few hundred dollar difference for 3 nights!

Well I went ahead and booked the reservation at the contemporary. Too cheap to pass up. 129.87 a night for nine nights. We are in a Garden Wing, but I will try to change that when I am there. I do a lot of Disney World booking so maybe they can do something for me.

Those are some great deals.

I like the Riverside deal for $76 a night.

But, yeah, you could probably get a Tower room for like $155 a night. I'd go with the tower, it's worth the extra moula.
