Disney CM's really ticks me off sometimes

I have a reservation at the WL January 13th for 5 nights. Just found out, flying down for business on the 12th instead. I have a $300 credit on my account because I had an AP discount applied to my reservation.

So, I called Disney to ask about adding a night on. They have no availability for 6 consecutive nights (they must really be hurting.) They did however have availibility for 1 night (the 12th). They will not however use the credit I have on my existing reservation to pay for the additional night.

That crap es me off. Why in the world couldn't they do it? Maybe if I was staying at a different resort I could see the problem, but I'm not. I'm not going to give them the satisfaction of paying an additional $250 out of my pocket.

Then they tell me the room would need to be paid for by tonight since it's only 14 days out, but the money wouldn't be credited back to my card for 7-10 days.

Wow. That does suck and I'm sorry. Maybe since you already have a ressie they can't add on another night for the same room you're going to be in:shrug::confused::shrug:

That does sounds weird that can't give you one night. But, at the same time(don't know if it's just you or/and family) stay at an off-site hotel. I know it's not Disney, but it is only for one night and I'm sure you could get one within a couple of minutes from there. Otherwise, I really don't know what else to say!!:o

Hmmmm....just called back, spoke to a much nicer CM at CRO, and she said it was no problem to transfer the funds over.

I guess that's a perfect example of certain CRO's not knowing what they're talking about or not willing to help.

sounds like you had a valid complaint. Glad common sense prevailed and it worked out.

it stinks when the $$$ end of a WDW trip messes with the fun part.

It got taken care of. They didn't have any standard rooms available, just Woods View. That was fine. I don't mind switching rooms the next day. I just didn't want to pay the additional amount when there's already a credit on the original reservation. It didn't make any sense to me that they couldn't transfer those funds. Sure enough, they could, I was just talking to an unhelpful/unknowledgeable CM.

I've had to call back on multiple occasions to get a CM who knows what they are talking about. Some of them are really misinformed, or they just do not care. I've had some crazy conversations with a few of them.

I'm glad you got it worked out.

I'm really happy that you got what you wanted!!:sohappy: I didn't read it all the way through and now I understand what you were saying. My MIL has had to do that a few times with CM's who didn't kow what they were talking about.

I think that they REALLY need to schedule meetings with these CM's and have them all on the same page. I understand if it's someone's first day, week, or even month there because they're not going to know everything. But, they need to have a buddy system for all newbies. That way if they get stuck on a question or don't know how to book a ressie, there's a 'veteran' with them that can show them how to do it. I bet things would run alot smoother!!
