I have never been to Disney Quest. So there for I need all the info you would like to provide me. I do have 2 particular questions. We will be staying on site and getting the pkg. including Disney Quest. Starting at what age level would be interested in DQ? How much money does a person spend there? I don't have a clue. Is every thing you do there cost money?

Thanks

I was there a few years back. We had a blast and only paid one price to do everything. I don't think this has changed. My brother-in-law and I took our two step-sons at the time and they were around 10 years old.

A funny story is (we are so mean) they decided to try and trash talk us over the Buzz dodge-ball car game so the step-dad's took on the step-kids. Their car stopped moving during the game and of course being the *mature* adults we are we just drove around behind them making their car spin out of control the whole game. I highly doubt to this day (4 years later) they have ever forgiven us for that...

DisneyQuest appeals to all ages. There's something for everyone. Be sure to be there early, as it tends to get packed fast.

DQ is made up of 4 "zones"-Explore Zone, Create Zone, Replay Zone, and Score Zone.

The Explore Zone consists of 4 attractions. They are:

1)Pirates of the Caribbean-Battle for Buccaneer Gold-This is very fun for the entire family. The lines tend to get long very quick, so maybe start your day off here.

2)Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride

3)Virtual Jungle Cruise

4)Treasure of the Incas

All of these attractions are family suitable and all age groups enjoy them. But beware, Virtual Jungle Cruise tends to get rough.

The Create Zone has 6 attractions. They are:

1)Animation Academy

2)Cyberspace Mountain

3)Sid's Create-A-Toy

4)Living Easles

5)Radio Disney Song-Maker

6)Magic Mirror

Cyberspace Mountain is an attraction in which you create your own rollercoaster and virtually ride it in a simulator. It has a height requirement of 51". You can create your own songs in the Song Maker, and build your own toy in Sid's. In the Magic Mirror you can have a picture of yourself taken and then add to it, and the Living Easles you can create your own animation. All 4 of the mentioned above can be purchased at the Guest Gallery in that area. The Animation Academy is one of my favorites. You take an animation class and they teach you to draw a character. The drawing can be purchased as well.

The Replay Zone consists of 2 attractions. They are:

1)Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters
2)Midway on the Moon arcade

Buzz Lightyear is very fun. You are in enclosed bumper cars, and you shoot soft purple balls at the other cars. You have to pay for the games in the Midway on the Moon arcade, as they give out tickets redeemable for prizes.

The Score Zone consists of 3 attractions. They are:

1)Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam
2)Ride The Comix
3)Invasion! An ExtraTERRORestrial Encounter

Mighty Ducks is full-out fun. Everyone enjoys it. Ride the Comix is also fun, and Invasion! is cool too. There's also free arcade games around to play. They are free because they do not give out tickets.

Dining there is not quite expensive. They have a Cheesecake Factory Express, and everyone can find food there. Some booths even have internet-ready computers.

They open at 11:30 each day I believe, and close at 11:30 PM Sunday through Thursday, and midnight Friday and Saturday if i'm not mistaken.

Enjoy!:D

DQ is my personal favorite (even beating some actual disney parks), but i am a teenager. In DQ there is alot to do. It is a huge free video arcade (with both brand new and very old video games) they have many other activities besides video games though. There is alot of VR stuff which i'm sure the kids would like (you get to fly around a aladins carpets! there's a pirates 3d attraction that you MUST NOT MISS! there is a river rafting ride, a cyber space mountaine, and a buzz light year bumper car attraction. If your kids are into video games and stuff you should be fine. You can def spend some time there, it is a fun place. They use alot of good effects(my favorite is the entrance o man thats good stuff) disney def. did a good job here. You should def stop bye!:)

The only thing you pay for at DQuest is food and one small section of Chuck E Cheese games which give out tickets. That's very easy to avoid, with 5 floors full of free games and activities.

My 4 year old and 8 year old LOVE it. My 8 year old just became tall enough to do the Buzz space ranger spin and create your own roller coaster. Not much else has height restrictions.

So picture this, in addition to the awesome 3d and interactive games, a giant video arcade where all games are free! Even the large games i.e. pod racer which can run $2 a pop in a normal arcade.

I second the reccomendation of getting there early. If it works out go on a week day morning and it should be pretty much empty. The later in the evening you go, and on weekends it can get very crowded.

Have fun!:sohappy:
