Disney Quest: Refurbish or Replace?

If an IP were to be used, I'd vote for Wreck-It Ralph.

He is used as an "Unofficial" Mascot for DQuest and it makes more sense after they Kicked the Genie out of the Cyborlators..

IMO Disney should take the time to look at this and with the potential Sequel for Wreck-It-Ralph in talks renaming it to Disney's Game Central Station would not only update the place but Re-Imagine it ala Dave & Busters/Gameworks with a better Restaurant & Bar taking over the 5th floor and removing Invasion and fix things to modify to this day in age..Heck with the rumor of The Sum of All Thrills closing it would make more sense if Cyberspace Mountain was upgraded to that instead...*Hello!!* Disney Your reading this right??!?!

There is some pretty cool VR technology that is starting to be introduced to the general public that would fit in very well at DisneyQuest. It almost works like the holodeck from Star Trek-unlimited possibilities for what Disney could do with it, if they were willing to pony up the $ for it.

I was never big fan of DQ, I dont go to Disney to play video games but I know there are many guests whose kids are looking to be entertained while they are in the area. There are plenty of adult things to do in the area and very few kid oriented things, so I think it would benefit families to have it refurbed and updated. It could be a money maker if they made it worthwhile to spend time inside.

As someone who LOVES arcades I was really excited to go to Disney Quest. However, I found that it was very dark and did not feel very welcoming. I understand that all the games are included in the price of entry, but I feel that this is part of the problem. Part of the great thing about arcades, is going in and spending money on the games that you want to play. DQ has a pretty steep price tag for what it is.

I feel that if DQ were to stick around, it would need a HUGE refurb and it might not be worth the price.

You got me on that one. But you have to agree TSMM is a slightly different situation, its an 8 minute ride.... DQ means spending the major part of the day standing in front of video games hour after hour after hour.

Lol you can easily do that with the Wii version and spin around in a chair.....

Cool idea! I'd love a dessert area heavily themed to Sugar Rush.

If some serious money was spent on refurbishment I think it would attract people again, I am definitely in the minority in that I still enjoy it even in it's current state (my opinion is based on the fact it is included in UK tickets or was until this year anyway I would not pay the asking price for admission). Yes it is dated and some of the broken attractions like the cybrolator are sad but I would still miss it if they do follow through with the closure rumours. I just can't see Disney replacing it, just one less thing to do!

Hands down this is the nastiest establishment/attraction whatever you want to call it at WDW. I literally want to shower about 5 minutes after entering the place. That being said my grandkids LOVE it and even I like some of the 3D attractions like the ship one...We would be sad to see it demolished and not replaced or refurbed.
