Disney Quest Question

I have a friend who is a DVC member and certified Disney nut.

He has asked me to ask if anyone here knows the answer to this question.

Does anyone know the names of all the "old school" games in Disney Quest boneyard section??

He is thinking of one in particular which is similar to asteriods, but he cannot remember the name of it and it is keeping him awake at night.

He is not due to go back till October, and can't wait until then to find out.

Can anyone help??

Thx

I am heading down tomorrow and will take a look. I don't understand the comment that Disney Quest is boring, to me it is what YOU make out of it. If you want to spend time building and playing around it is a great place. My family loves to go in and play all day there. You have a wide variety of stuff to do that can keep you busy for hours at a time.

DisneyQuest is great!! Well, I think so anyway. But my parents and sister won't even go in, even though it'll be free to get in on our tickets this time. I keep trying to persuade them to just look in for a bit. The lift to get up there is pretty cool in itself.

I thought Disney Quest was really cool. Me and wife loved riding in the cars and shooting those balls in the arena (I forgot the name of the ride). Or the Mighty-Ducks game was also cool too.
We had a great time and I would recommend that you at least go an see it and decide for yourself.

The ride you are talking about is Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster.

I also love Disney Quest. I go there numerous times on my vacation. We usually get the Disney Quest annual pass.

I think DisneyQuest is a lot fun also, Buzz Lightyear is great.
I like playing asteroids, frogger and galaga.

I have been wanting to go to DQ for a long time now, I finally go in Nov. and I know this will sound crazy, but I can't wait to visit the Retro Arcade. My nephew will be with me also and he could care less about that, but I grew up on Pac-man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, and Frogger. Sounds like a blast. Are they included with admission?

Yes, those games are included with admission.

Wow, no kiddin', i had heard at one time that they cost a quarter extra to play, but that may have been back when the credit system was going instead of the one price admission. Do the games keep big lines being "free" so to speak, or are they too old to do that now.

I didn't see many lines for the games when I went last year. I personally spent about 30 minutes playing Berzerk ("Intruder alert, intruder alert ... destroy the intruder") before anyone came up behind me wanting to play.

DQ is a Blast. You need to have agroup of three or four so you can really enjoy the fantastic group games which include the Alien Encounter spin-off game where you are in a large robot saving colonists from aliens on a distant planet and MY FAVORITE: PIRATES OF THE CARBEAN - SEARCH FOR PIRATE GOLD. This is an absolutely fantastic 3-d/moving platform ride where you get to runa all over the boat shooting your cannons at other boats, ghost ships, and having all sorts of noisy fun. When I was at WDW in Feb, my suster-in-law, her boyfriend, an myself played this game at least five times until we mastered it! (and boy, were we a noisy bunch for that). And yes, one of you gets to steer the ship too. This is probably the BEST arcade gave created to date!

DisneyQuest Rocks !!!! I love the retro arcade...they have TRON (my favorite), Discs of Tron, the old Spy Hunter, the sit down version of the vector graphic Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back, Mr. DO, all three Donkey Kongs...etc. You could easily spend 12 hours in that place. Oh lets not forget about the Cheesecake Factory :slurp:

Arrrgggghhh, Disc of Tron, I gotta go, I gotta go. How could you not love this place. Old Star Wars, wild. Mr. Do, gotta do the do. Who could not like this. I already knew about the interactive games there, but with all these arcade games it sounds so much more worth the money. I assume all of them look brand new and all the buttons and Joysticks are in great shape too, huh?
