Disney Quest operating hours to be cut

It's a shame that this is getting shortened hours. But, I can understand as most of the Technology is pretty outdated and since the NBA pulled out it makes a part of the West Side a little quiet...

Are we sure this is because of the cuts from Shanghai and such? Disney Quest just doesn't seem to ever be busy anymore and is often running deals just to entice people to come in. I could see this happening just because the place isn't popular.

During it's last Tenure in Chicago they tried to get anyone there and they reduced admission from it's $50 to a mere $10 before it's demise in 2001...It was such a fun day and which is why I enjoyed the Orlando as one as it has strong similarities in Layout from it's fromer Chicago location..

So the NBA restaurant is not going in there after all? I had not heard that.

DisneyQuest used to be my favorite thing at WDW back in the early 2000s, but when I went again last fall I realized the place has turned into a garbage dump. I saw one video game literally held together with silver duct tape. Lots of attractions gone and replaced with nothing. Even the awesome elevator did not work. At this point they need to euthanize that place even if NBA is not coming in.

Heading for the great escape.
Never liked the place so totally NFI on a personal level. But I'm sure it was a must do for some and they, being true Disney fans, will no doubt be fully supportive of why Disney simply must implement a prudent fiscal plan to ensure the shareholders and senior staff are rewarded for their input.

I see these cuts upsetting a lot of guests. I'd hate to be a first time guest and experience lack of cast members in retail, rides, restaurants and shorter hours.

All ten of the people who still go there and the two who actually enjoyed it will be saddened they can't stay up late and play their circa 1990's graphic games. ( If you can't tell this place never impressed me)

This is another cut that, if it has to happen, i'm not going to argue with. The place has been losing popularity for a long while anyway.

It's still upsetting to see so many cuts, however.

If Disney is going to cut hours, this is the place to do it. It rarely is busy, especially since AP's don't have access once their passes expire/renew. The average guest at Walt Disney World will probably never notice.

Not surprised, I really dont know why it hasnt been closed. If they needed to cut something this would be an obvious place to start. I happen to have a free pass in January and it was a ghost town. A mere shell of it itself. A shame really, another attraction that was left to rot. A reimagination is in order.

Blame Iger. He wanted to build a new fast past system for ONE BILLION DOLLARS. Forget attractions - his priority was you get on Stitches Great Escape using fast pass.
