Disney Princess Resort?

Hi,

I am new here, and have a ton of questions! I would first like to say that I am so thankful for this place! I've had so many questions answered, and have so many more to ask! Thanks to everyone who keeps this place running. :sohappy:

Ok for my first question (or I guess second since I did ask one yesterday:lookaroun)

I am planning a trip to Disney on May 9th for 7 days, and was wanting to know what resorts (Disney or Not) that are best to stay at when your daughter 'lives and breathes' princesses (especially Ariel)? My daughter is 6-years-old and my husband is 3...ok...lol! j/k:ROFLOL:

I must say that our budget is a 'reeeeally' tight one, but I may be able to get my husband to agree on splurging a little for the right resort.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

I can't wait to go back to Disney!:D

My daughter also loves Ariel. The best place to meet her is at Ariel's grotto. It is almost like you are secluded with her in the cave. We went there first thing that morning. My daughter talked to her for like 5 minutes. She asked Ariel where her daughter Melody was at and that kinda threw her off. My daughter had an outfit with Tinker Bell on it and Ariel asked her if that was her favorite and My daughter said no you are. That seemed to make Ariel's day. The All Star Music has a statue of Ariel I believe she is playing a guitar and flounder and Sabastian are with her. But the POP is a way better resort. Make sure you check out Voyage of the Little Mermaid @ DHS. Here are a few photos so you can get and idea. I always like to see pics.

I was there last week, also with a Princess obsessed model of child. We stayed at Caribbean Beach, which used to be more Ariel orientated but is now piratey. It's close to Epcot, which has always been the place for us to see the most Princesses.

We did the Akershus Princess breakfast and it was awesome. So awesome that I've emailed Guest Communications praising Mulan whom we ended up seeing three times total in the World Showcase. I have never witnessed a character interaction experience before that was like Mulan's attention to my daughter. However, all of the Princesses were great at Epcot! My daughter is currently slumped on the living room floor as she has been doing since we returned and saying she is sad. She's pining away for her friends.

So yeah, stay at a Moderate or Value resort and then go nuts in the World Showcase. The Princesses there are...astounding, amazing, remarkable, tremendous (decided to use a thesaurus so I wouldn't repeat the use of awesome :dazzle:).
