Disney Planning Dilemma

My best friend, parents and I are going to Disney for Spring Break (March 8-15). We have a 7 day Magic Your Way Pass.. and we are trying to figure out what parks to do on what day... This is what we came up with:

Sunday - ?
Monday - Magic Kingdom
Tuesday - Epcot
Wednesday - Animal Kingdom
Thursday - Hollywood Studios
Friday - Epcot
Saturday - Magic Kingdom

Basically, we can't decide which park we want to do on Sunday because we will be arriving around 1 PM. We also keep changing things around for during the week. We wanted to do MK on Monday cause there's extra magic hours.. and HS on Thurs to see Fantasmic... But everything can be changed around.. we just want to get the most of our time!! Suggestions... anyone??

Do you have park hoppers...if not it always becomes more challenging. How about trying a non-planning approach for the most part. Once you are there and you see things, decide what you want to do again, or didn't get a chance to see. I see some people not enjoy great Disney vacations because of over planning.

Just a thought to consider: What resort are you staying at?

When we went this past October (our first 7-day trip), we decided to just hang out at our resort on the first half-day there. We got to the AKL around 2:00 and spent the rest of the afternoon around the pool, having drinks, and looking at the animals. Then we had a nice dinner at Boma and continued to explore the resort. We turned in early and were all rested and ready to go to MK early the next morning.

I planned it this way in response to our prior 5-day trip in Dec '07. That time a car service had picked us at 5:00am to take us to the Newark Airport (we live in Brooklyn) for a 7:30am flight. We got to our resort around noon and headed right off to World Showcase in Epcot. Well, with such a long day, I was practically falling asleep during the Candlelight Processional that evening. We had to leave before it was over. And then the next day I was still tired.

I realize you want to get the most of your time at WDW, but sometimes after a morning of travel, just lounging around your resort can be a fun and relaxing way to start the vacation. And you still have 6 days to enjoy all the parks.
