Disney photopass cd

Ride pictures are seperate from Photo Pass. You can only get the ride pictures at the attraction's photo stand.

Is it worth it depends on what you want. Personally, I can't fathom why I'd spent $100 for photos when I can bring my own camera and have any CM in the park take my pic anytime/anyplace I want.

However, if you would normally buy one or two images, then it might be worth it since they're extremely expensive each. (1 print can easily run you near $20) You need to be sure to have them take enough photos with PhotoPass to ensure you have enough images you'd want of theirs to warrent the $100 cost.

So whether it's worth it or not is dependant on what your preference is; printing up someone else's photos or printing up photos from your own camera.

We bought the CD from our last trip. To us it was worth it.

We had them take pictures almost every time we saw a PhotoPass person. (we had over 80 taken) We have family poses, kids alone, silly poses, each child alone etc. The night ones in front of the castle made it all worth it....my camera just doesn't take the quality pictures they do. So the castle all lit up behind us, it was just too beautiful.

We also had them take a few with my camera. Also, during character meets, I wasn't so busy trying to take pics of the kids since they were taking them, I was able to "enjoy the moment".

Finally, at the photostore when you get the CD, they can add borders, signatures of characters and "special effects" to the pictures, making them even more special. When you get the CD, you get the regular shots, plus the enhanced ones (borders etc). These pics all will make great gifts for grandparents etc.

I print out all the pictures here at home.

So, to us it was worth it. It all depends on what you are looking for. When my DH and I go alone for our anniversary in Sept, I don't know if we will do it, but who knows? Maybe we'll get some great pics of just the 2 of us so we may end up getting it!

Can you order the cd online after you leave or must you do it while you are still at disney? Does it include all the days of your trip or just one day?

We ordered the CD when we got home. It cost a bit extra because of shipping. You CAN NOT get the borders and all the extras when you order the CD at home. No ride photos either. You can't get those in park or out.

We got the CD when we there for our last trip. I pondered if we should do it, but in the end I think that it is a great deal. We like the other posted said just had pictures taken each time we saw a Photo Pass person, I think in the end we had about 125 pictures taken. If you want the CD with enhancements make sure that you buy it at WDW...and remember it takes time to add the enhancements and the line when we were leaving Epcot was LONG considering there were like 4 of us doing the disks at once. We are going back again in two weeks and I honestly think that I will pay again to get it! It makes it so much more enjoyable then having to teach someone each time hwo to use the camera and you know they are only going to take one, at least with the Photopass you are going to get multiple pictures...and FINALLY we have family photos!

THats what i was thinking, the major reason that i would buy it is if it included the ride photos.

Ride photos would definitely be a perk. And a possible reason (in my opinion) to use the service instead of your own camera. Then the cd would include something you can't get otherwise. Beyond that though...for my personal preference and usage, the cd just isn't worth it for me. A lot of people really do enjoy the option however, so it certainly has it's market.

How much did it cost?

Buying the CD is $99.95 plus tax

When we purchased ours in Epcot, it took about an hour to get. This is because of adding all the borders and extras. Plus he edited a few that were too bright and cropped a few that really had a lot of extas (and people) in them. I was lucky that I didn't have to wait in line or this would have added time. I had no idea it was going to take this long, luckliy my family was playing in Innoventions but my DH did say he was getting a bit worried......

As to another question posed.....when you get your first pictures taken, they give you a PhotoPass card with a bar code on it. So, each time we got pictures taken, we had them scan this card. This way, all of our pictures were together on one "account" when we purchased the CD.

Remember, if you have the Disney Visa card, you can get a private meet-n-greet with charcaters in Innoventions West, plus a free 5x7 of one of those pictures. We saw Minnie and Goofy 1 visit, Donald and Goofy the next time. 1st time there was 1 family in front of us, next time no wait!
