New Mickey Mouse short set in Disneyland pays tribute to Nature's Wonderland and the Rainbow Caverns. I love these shorts, they pack so many historical references (including Walt himself) and I think they're great. Can't wait for the Runaway Railway to open at Hollywood Studios. I don't get the hate spewed about these shorts at all.

I think Disneyland fans would especially appreciate it, given the general populace has no idea what it is referencing.

I watched this earlier today, and I completely agree. I love the inside references. I've only watched a few of these new shorts, but this one has convinced me to explore further.

The Rainbow Caverns references were really cool. I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of this animation style at first but it's growing on me. The humor and tone of the episodes (the 2 I've seen) kind of remind me of some annoying adult swim type stuff.

Goofy still looks like a possessed zombie crackhead though.

The shorts are quite fun.
I watched a pair of them on a long distance flight this past Summer and was surprised at how fun they were.
It's been a long time since a new cartoon series has just been 'fun' instead of the typical wise** pot stirrer or educational dribble.

I think the issue some have with the new shorts is the extreme stylization of how the characters are drawn.
If they appeared more 'traditional' and less 'hip n' edgy Flash animation styled' I doubt we would be hearing the discontent.

I like the new shorts.
Not a fan of the stylised 'look'.

I've watched a few more now, and I'm enjoying the style. It's a versatile platform for the quick visual wit that they pack into each short.

Goofy still looks like a possessed zombie crackhead though.

I'm sure I don't know what you mean. ;)

I'm a fan of the new cartoons, while the style may be different I think they capture the characters very well. Most if not all of the shorts have some reference to the past, specifically past attractions. From the music to the visuals, there is usually some reference that only true fans would catch.

Yep, just like in the original Mickey Mouse shorts...
