Dinner Pass?

Hi,
I heard from a friend, who has a friend, that was able to get a "Dinner Pass",which is for 3 hours, to have dinner in one of the countries in World Showcase. Now, I know they have a "Shopping Pass" for the parks to shop, but I found the "Dinner Pass" story kind of hard to believe just because I have always read "in order to eat at the restaurants in WS you have to have a park entry". Anyone have any idea on the truth of this "Dinner Pass". I would really like to know anything...I really appreciate it!

good question-

epcot actually has an after 4 pass; it's very popular with locals who enjoy the wide variety of food choices available at EPCOT so many will come just to have dinner ....and then stick around for the fireworks!:sohappy:

Wow! This is great. It's very convenient for those who just want to have dinner at the park. Thank you imagineersrock! Do I just ask at the main gate at Epcot for this pass? And I am sure I would have to make reservations.....

from what i understand, it should be available at the front gates at epcot as if you were buying any other kind of a ticket.
