Disney Parks and Credit Cards

I'm heading down to Disney next week and for the first time ever not staying on property. It's technically a business trip so I had no say as to where I'm staying since the company is paying for lodging. I plan on heading to the parks but hate carrying cash. Since in the past I always used my room key to pay for things and never had to worrying about parking this question never came up. What would I need cash for? Can I pay for parking with my credit card? Do the snack carts take credit? What about the quick service restaurants? If I have to carry cash I will but I still rather just use my card.

You can use credit cards basically everywhere at WDW. I have not used cash there for years. Have a great trip!

For the most part, if they took room charge, they will take a normal credit card as well.

You'll be fine. Even the little snack carts take credit cards. I never use cash at the parks and have never been told, "Oh, we only take cash here."

Thanks everyone! I was mostly worried about parking. I figured if a snack cart somewhere didn't take credit it was no big deal, I would just grab something somewhere else but if I can't pay to park I'm in trouble!

Disney makes it really easy for anyone to give them money.

We very rarely break out the cash! We have the emergency cash in the wallet but, it never sees the light of day. Snacks and all!

Sometimes I'll use gift cards instead of a credit card so I know there is a limit and I won't impulse buy something that I don't really need.

This is a problem in disneyland but wdw has handheld. Credit card machines everywhere...

What is this cash of which you speak? :lol: I only use cash at WDW for tipping bell services, mousekeeping and cab fares if I take a cab to a breakfast or to leave EPCOT.

OK, You've got me beat. I actually got my first AMEX card just so I could use it at Disney.

Parking also takes plastic. On my last trip the credit card machines were not working at DHS so they let us park for free.
