Disney package inclusions

We are planning our first on property trip and have the Magic your way water parks and more package. So here are my questions.

Does this package give you unlimited entry to disney quest? and not go against your park days?

What are these 100 credits for the arcade at our resort? are they; as i would think, virtual tokens for use in the arcade?

Are there things i may miss using because its not clearly defined within the package description?

Also a bit off topic but, since we are driving and will have our car, does it make sense to drive to the parks versus using the disney transportation. I somewhat like to be the master of my domain. We are staying at POP

Does this package give you unlimited entry to disney quest? and not go against your park days? No. The water park and fun option will give you an equal number of admissions to the water parks and DQ as days on your tickets. (eg 6 day ticket 6 admissions) They do not effect your park admissions.

What are these 100 credits for the arcade at our resort? are they; as i would think, virtual tokens for use in the arcade? Yes. The arcades work much like your average Dave n Busters. Each game has a point value to play and you get 100 point included with your package. If I am not mistaken most games are around 5-10 or more per play.

Are there things i may miss using because its not clearly defined within the package description? Everything is in there. There is no secret menu like at in and out burger. As long as you read your package from cover to cover you should be good.

Also a bit off topic but, since we are driving and will have our car, does it make sense to drive to the parks versus using the disney transportation. I somewhat like to be the master of my domain. We are staying at POP It really depends on where and when you are going. The actual door to door times are about the same (bus vs drive)when going to DHS, AK and Epcot. MK favor the bus, DTD favor the car but parking can be a huge pain at DTD. Navigating WDW is not hard but if you have a GPS, download a WDW point of intrest set and it will make things much easier.

The number of entries to DisneyQuest Is dependent on the number of days on your MYW ticket. Here is a chart: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets-passes/waterpark/. From what I gather, you have a certain number of visits allotted to the different venues (BB, TL, DQ, WWS, golf, and mini golf). You can visit more than one venue in a day, but each visit takes away from your allotted number.

Arcade credits at the resorts are virtual coins that you can use to to play the games. 100 points is equivalent to $1.00.

I'm not sure what you mean by "things you might miss." do you have any examples?

I stayed at POP two summers ago, and I would say use your car. The bus system, for me, is too variable, and waiting for buses can get real boring real quick. You don't know when the next bus will be there. Driving to the parks from your resort is fairly simple, and parking is free. So go ahead, drive, and rule your vacation dominion!

Everything in the package is laid out in the information sent to you in advance, or provided to you when you check in. As already posted, DQ counts towards your WP&M credits, so however many of those you have with your package, that is how many times you can enter any of the minor gates.

You might have other vouchers in there, maybe free mini golf, or discounts to use some of the watercraft, but thats about it.

We almost always choose to use our car over the bus system. No one pressuring you to move faster, no waiting in the sun for the bus to arrive, and (most importantly at the end of the day) my car has a guaranteed place for me to sit!

This is what I was told by the Cast Member when i called as well. However I will add that you can visit the same area multiple times in one day and it will not take away from your total.

i.e. You have 6 nights, so you have 6 credits. You go to BB and then back to your resort, then back to BB. This is only one credit, however it you go to BB, then to DQ, then this would be two of your six credits.

hope that helps

Beware of arcade credits. They get you in there to play, and then you can only play certain games ( at least that was our experience). Some very nice person gave us their arcade points, so we were able to do a bit more, but still had to pay for some of the games. Not cheap either!:(

When we did the tickets with water park included our first trip we never even used the water park option, and never added it again. There are water parks everywhere, we just didn't want to waste our park time. Even with our next trip being 13 days we don't find the water park attractive. We are in the park all day, the water parks are packed, and there is a pool at the resort. For us the extra money just isn't worth it.

Have you ever been to one of Disney's water parks? They are considerably different than a CoCo Key, Hurricane Harbor, etc.

No we have not. I have seen tons of photos and videos, but the water parks aren't that tempting for us. We stay in the park from opening until closing to get the most out of our day. Maybe one day when our kids are older we'll give it a try, now they are 2 & 6.
