Did anyone catch the new Disney Resort Hotels show on Destination America last night? It's Disney Week, doncha know?

Lots of unintentionally great bits. For one, the show spent more time on Art of Animation and the wonderful value of its family suites than it did any other resort. Guess they really are having trouble filling those things up.

There was a segment on Disney's incredible transportation system. All guests have acces to the monorail, boats and busses in that order. Like most guests will take the monorail everywhere, some will prefer to hop on a boat and in a pinch you just might get on a bus at some point. HA! When talking about Port Orleans Riverside, they specifically highlighted boat rentals. Oooops.

The show ended with MyMagic Plus and how it will make every aspect of your vacation better. Of course the only examples they could give were keyless room entry, ticketless gate entry and FastPass Plus. But the funniest bit was the commercial that kept running that hyped up the advantage of trying out FastPass Plus while it was still testing. How is that an advantage?!? They are now selling the fact they don't have all the bugs worked out yet? Nearly fell off my couch.

Can't wait till tonight when I can watch the Sandwich King and his family schlep around the Magic Kingdom. What are the odds he spends most of his time in New Fantasyland?

I saw that too. The first program seemed to be pretty up to date, so I was surprised to see Spectro included in the second one. I agree It was good to see a bit of it again, but I'd much rather see the whole thing going down Main St

If memory serves, there was a more up to date version that aired a while back that did not include Spectro any more. But I could be mistaken.

I watched the one on the Resort Hotels last night, and was kinda disappointed. A lot of it seemed to be old footage cleverly re-edited. Unless I blinked at the wrong time, I didn't see anything on my favorite resort, Beach Club. They did have some new footage on the special themed rooms at some resorts, and then a closing segment on the wonders of the Magic Bands with Tom Staggs. On the other hand, I think Disney would be well served by grafting much of this material onto the annual planning DVD, which has been sorely lacking in Resort details.

This show was downright awful.

It was one of the most hysterically bad Disney shows ever to air. And for that reason, I kind of loved it.

I did like that they spent quite a bit of time inside the BoG restaurant. The show had some of the better footage of NFL of all the shows out there. Of course, it was specifically made to showcase NFL, so that's expected.

Having watched these kinds of shows numerous times, I have come to expect them to tow the company line. But even by those standards, this one was over the top. They spend an entire segment talking about their "Disney side" in a way that completely misused what I understand that marketing term to mean. Jeff's Disney side is that he wants to see fireworks? Does that make any sense?

Instead of truly talking about their "Disney side" (whatever that actually is) each member of the party names something that they want to do. And of course each one will highlight something off Disney's checklist. Someone needs to get a spa treatment to show that Disney offers something for grown-ups. The little one wants to see a baby giraffe so we can highlight Animal Kingdom Lodge for the 100th time.

Best moment: Jeff helps out at Victoria and Alberts and is clearly way out of his depths. I mean, the guy is a failed stand-up comic who makes sandwiches on TV. Usually, these TV chefs can at least hang. But Jeff is hopeless applying the garnishes. Hysterical.

It was one of the most hysterically bad Disney shows ever to air. And for that reason, I kind of loved it.

I did like that they spent quite a bit of time inside the BoG restaurant. The show had some of the better footage of NFL of all the shows out there. Of course, it was specifically made to showcase NFL, so that's expected.

Having watched these kinds of shows numerous times, I have come to expect them to tow the company line. But even by those standards, this one was over the top. They spend an entire segment talking about their "Disney side" in a way that completely misused what I understand that marketing term to mean. Jeff's Disney side is that he wants to see fireworks? Does that make any sense?

Instead of truly talking about their "Disney side" (whatever that actually is) each member of the party names something that they want to do. And of course each one will highlight something off Disney's checklist. Someone needs to get a spa treatment to show that Disney offers something for grown-ups. The little one wants to see a baby giraffe so we can highlight Animal Kingdom Lodge for the 100th time.

Best moment: Jeff helps out at Victoria and Alberts and is clearly way out of his depths. I mean, the guy is a failed stand-up comic who makes sandwiches on TV. Usually, these TV chefs can at least hang. But Jeff is hopeless applying the garnishes. Hysterical.

You mean when the Food Network Star was in complete awe of naan bread? Although, in fairness, he reacted to every single thing like a shut-in escaping his house for the first time in years.
