Disney on Demand

I'm not sure if this is offered throughout the country, but here in Philly, Comcast (our cable provider) offers a service called On-Demand. I'm not real sure how to describe it except it offers shows, movies and extras that are either free or sometimes at a price. I'm not sure if you have to have digital cable for it either.
Anyway, today while I was surfing around it, I found a whole section for Disney! It's under the Travel sub-category of the Spotlight section. They have an Everest Preview, Stacey's Top 7 as seen on resort tv, the Jim Brickman special at the MK, and some other short specials for the Happiest Celebration on Earth. I was so excited when I saw it! The shows are free and are available until May 10th and I think you can actually record the shows and save them if you subscribe to the On-Demand service.
I'm sorry I don't know how to desribe the On-Demand very well or even if it is offered throughout the country. I hope it is though, and everyone can find it!

I was reading about the introduction of on-demand services in England, I wonder if we will get all those cool shows? :D

Thank you!!!! We have comcast in Boston too. I only wish they would add the Disney Channel to it. My 2yo son loves all the Playhouse Disney shows and so when I need to put something on for him, he ends up watching Dora because On Damand is quicker than me finding a dvd to put on.

I live in Wisconsin, and have the on Demand service and I can't find it.
Can anyone help?

Under the first main menu, select the "Spotlight" section. It then brings you another menu of sub-categories. Select the "travel" section. The only option after that is "Disney Vacations". Select that and it gives you a list of about 7 things to watch. Hope you can find it!

For us, we have the different channels like HBO on Demand, Cartoons on Demand ect...
I have the list of channels that we have and there is no "Spotlight on Demand" Channel.
How do you get to the 'main menu'?

Whahoo!! :sohappy: :sohappy: Thank you so much!!!!!!! I have On Demand here in Connecticut. As soon as I read your post, I checked it out and "lo and behold" there it is! I am so excited! We have a major snow storm heading this way this evening and through to tomorrow mid-day. I know what I'm going to be doing to beat the winter blues!!

Thanks so much!!!

I luv those update thingys. The hosts are alittle annoying but I like the footage of the parks.
Really thats sweet!!! Those are the things played in Florida hotels!!! Like everywhere those are amazing when theres like nothing ot watch thats normally what I would put on.
I think Disney offers a Free DVD though with something just like that though.
Does anybody have a Dish and get those channels?

Cablevision had this over the summer, but got rid of it around August. It had the vacation planning video, the top 7, and some other things to help plan a vacation.

Thanks so much. I was in bed sick yesterday. This gave me something to do. I actually felt better after watching about half the videos. Did anyone else sign up for the vacation give away?

We have Comcast in Northern VA/DC/Maryland, but I'm not familiar with the "on-demand" stuff. We got rid of our cable boxes a while ago since the company charged us out the gazoo for renting them, and they provide mediocre service to our area.

If this wasn't the case, I would be highly interested in this.

I'm not sure how yours is set up, but I get our main menu when I push the On Demand button that is on our remote. The remote came with the box. I just found the spotlight section when the first main menu came up. I suggest just searching around all the different sections till you come across it. That's how I found it.
I'm glad everyone is enjoying it! I knew there had to be something Disney related since there is so much stuff offered. I started getting heart palpitations when I found it!
I just wish the top 7 was the Kryssa version...like most people have said, Stacey annoys me...
