Disney music...

Music is one of the biggest parts of the Disney name and experience. Most of the music's origins are from the best loved animated features. So here's a question, which Disney animated film has the best music? You could give me a list or you could simply tell me your favorite. I like The Lion King and Aladdin. Also I think the Phil Collins powed Tarzan soundtrack is great and might be up there with the all time classics. Maybe for you it's the classics that make us think we're walking through Cinderella castle into Fantasyland like "When you wish upon a star" or "A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes".

My favorite movie music is from the Lion King. I bought the soundtrack before I even saw the movie. In the parks, I love the Future World music in Epcot. No matter how often I'm there now, sitting by the Fountain of Nations, hearing that music always makes me feel like I did coming here on vacation with my family, when it was so special and different. Now I feel like I live there!

If you're talking about the WHOLE soundtrack, score as well as songs, I'd pick Pocahontas, with The Lion King and Hunchback Of Notre Dame following closely behind. Songs-wise I still really like those three, but I also love Tarzan and Beauty and the Beast (Although with them I usually skip the score)

Listing only the movies that I have seen:

1. Aladdin
2. The Lion King
3. The Little Mermaid
4. Beauty and the Beast
5. Tarzan
6. Pocohontas
7. Hunchback of Notre Dame

Any song that includes a part of the melody from "When you wish upon a Star" rates high with me :D

None of the Pixar films have impressed me with their music.

Movie wise my favorites are The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Pocahontas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Park wise I love the epcot music, especially in future world around Spaceship Earth. I also like the parade music and fireworks music, especially the night shows like Fantasmic, Wishes, and Illuminations.

It's hard to choose favorite Disney music because it's all so good. I've always been kinda a music nut. I played the violin for like 9 years before quitting due to a wrist injury.

I've always loved the Jazzy backround score and songs from the Jungle Book but the Kill the Beast musical montage at the end of Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movie songs ever...even outside of disney.

As far as the music that gives me goosebumbs and lets me know I;m really there when I'm in the magic Kingdom...that would have to go to Peter Pan with Cinderella as a close second place. But, when talking about disney animated movies and music I have to mention Fantasia...even though it doesn;t fit the specifics of the category and the works existed long before disney these songs have always had a special place in my heart because of the movie.

Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid. Hunchback also has really great music, and I really like "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan. I thought Brother Bear had pretty good music, too. And I loved the music in both Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island :) And who can beat the classic Mary Poppins? Supercalifragelisticexpialidocious! Although I have never seen Song of the South, since it's not on video, I love its music in Splash Mountain.

1. Hunchback of Notre Dame- An amazing score! The gypsy-like music, the church-like music, and the modern music all seem to fit, and you never seem to cut from one to the other. I know a little Latin, and the lyrics are amazing when you but it into context with the movie. The music also is so versitile that it can be triumphant at one point and turn dark the next. It captures the hope and havoc that is present throughout the movie.

2. Beauty and the Beast- the music has a feeling of coldness and loneliness, but also had that warm, happy feeling thoughout.

3. The Lion King

4. Atlantis- great music, nothing else

5. Dinosaur- beautiful and moving, but also dangerous. It is the only thing that brought this movie to life.

I am a huge fan of Disney music & always have been...listening to a Parks CD right now in fact.

I love the music from Cinderella........so classic. Who doesn't love "A dream is a wish your heart makes"? I was proposed to & walked down the aisle with "So this is love" as the background music. Cinderella's music takes right to that special Disney place. :)

I also absolutely love the music from Beauty & the Beast....so beautiful.

But my favorite all time Disney song has to be "When you wish upon a star" no matter where you are...hearing that takes me straight to WDW in my mind.

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Snow White, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast. I can't think of any films which have as many classic songs together in one that I could listen to over, and over, and over, and over. . . .

Cinderella, Bambi, and Pinocchio songs are also great, but as for listening to a full soundtrack and enjoying each track as much as the other? Definitely the first three.

Beauty and the Beast is great on all accounts, its lyrics and instrumentals.

Songs from Peter Pan, Snow White, Cindy, Lion King, and Little Mermaid are good and just as magical, but not the entire CD, just the big popular ones that tug at your heart strings, lol.
