Alright, the first game ended pretty fast, so we'll try getting a second game going. I'll run this one and open up the voting on location in this thread as well. Characters chosen last game are now on the restricted list for the next three rounds. Characters killed are on the restricted for five rounds. Let's see if we can get at least 15 people before starting this one up, since it lets us have two each of killers and detectives. Let the signups begin.

disneyman15 - Max
LilDucky - Prof. Ludwig von Drake
AliciaLuvsDizne - Cinderella
AMH97 - Tigger
tiggerific418 - Ariel
Connor002 - Jafar
Computer Magic - Nemo
Nighttimewisher - Hercules
Fantasmic!kid - Jack Skellington
SilentWindODoom - Gaston
lunalovegoddess - Nigel the Koala
Taryn - Mrs Potts
pluto77 - Captain Jack Sparrow

So we cant be the characters we were last time - even if they stayed alive???

Correct. This makes for variety from game to game. Otherwise, people might end up playing the same character in every game until death, sort of turning it into "Murder, She Wrote." I mean really, how many people died when Jessica Fletcher was around?

Ditto what Alicia said for me too.

Umm, can I be Tigger?
I believe we had a Tigger last time. If you wanna do a Pooh character, I believe we didnt have Piglet, Eeyore, or Rabbit. I think it was only Pooh and Tigger!

Can't the same characters be in the game, but a person can't be the same character more then once?

Kind of like being typed cast in a movie....

Mickey in any form has to wait for four rounds before he can be played again(murderer). Tigger was chosen as well, but as the player for Tigger never posted, I'll allow him to be played this round.

Restricted:
Mickey Mouse(4 rounds)
Minnie Mouse(3 rounds)
Donald Duck(3 rounds)
Goofy(3 rounds)
Pluto(3 rounds)
Winnie the Pooh(3 rounds)
Aladdin(3 rounds)
Cheshire Cat(3 rounds)

Dead:
Scar(5 rounds)

I have to say, I'm liking the variety we're seeing with the characters now. This is actually the reason for restricting characters from game to game. Since we're incorporating this game from another site that Luna and I have hung out at in the past, let me post some of what they have listed in the rules thread in order to try to calrify things for those that are confused, as well as add in a few things:

Playing the Game
1) A killer kills when the host gives them the green light via PM.

2) When a false arrest is made the arrested individual cannot let anyone know they have been arrested until the game has ended. If a false arrest is made the players in the game have the option to replace the detectives.

3) Between each arrest there has to be one murder.

4) If a detective is killed the other players can't know that the killed character was a detective.

5) If one detective has already been killed when new detectives are selected, only one new detective will actually be appointed. If new detectives are appointed they can't know who the other is. Simply because they can't know if one of the previous detectives were killed or not.

6) If there is one killer and s/he kills both detectives the game ends.

7) If there are two killers and they kill both detectives the game continues until one killer gets the other.

8) If there are two killers the detective/s must specify whether they are arresting someone for being killer A or killer B. Should the detective arrest killer A for murders B, killer A will walk (until arrested for his/her own killings).

9) If both players selected as detectives stop posting regularly (or one is killed and the other stops posting regularly) the host can choose to select a new detective or end the game. If the murderer/s stops posting regularly the game stops and is declared null and void. In such case the characters and location featured in the game are up for grabs again right away.

10) If there are two killers, it will be determined by the person running the game what order they will commit their crimes in, but no killer can commit more than two killings in a row.

11) Once someone has been killed, no one else may be killed until either an arrest has been attempted and announced, or the third day following a killing, whichever is sooner. So, for example, if someone is killed on Monday, the next killing cannot happen until Thursday if there has been no arrest attempt made.

12) Killers must PM the person running the game and the victim in order for the killing to happen. Alternately, Detectives must PM the person running the game and the person they suspect to be the killer in order for an arrest attempt to be made. Please make sure that you have room in your PM box in order to ensure the game goes smoothly.

13) Have fun being the character you choose. Try to keep with the way the character would react to things if he/she/it were present. You'll find that the more you stay in character, the more fun you have and the more fun you're having, the more fun everyone else will have.

I will continue to update this as I think of more. If you have any questions, please PM me as I've run a few of these before and I am happy to help in any way I can.

Okay, here's how it goes:

The characters are at the voted upon location for fun, a party, just by chance, whatever the person running it decides. They all interact with each other, like any group of people would. All this takes place out in the open. Now, let's take three players: A, B and C.

Player A - Killer
Player B - Victim
Player C - Detective

Player A sends a PM to Player B and the person running things saying that Player B is dead.

The person running things, the Game Master(GM) if you will, posts in whatever style they have chosen and reveals to all the players remaining that Player B has just been killed and this is the clue that was left behind. Anyone is welcome to give their theories in the open about who they think killed Player B, but only Player C as Detective can do anything about it. If Player C thinks that Player A has committed the crime then a PM is sent by Player C to both Player A and the GM saying that he/she accuses Player A of committing the murder of Player B. Since this would be correct, the announcement is made that Player A has been successfully arrested, as was shown in the previous game. But, if Player C instead arrested someone else entirely, then it would be annouced that an arrest was made, but that further examination of the evidence has shown that it was a false arrest. Detectives get two false arrests and then the group as a whole can vote to replace them. Remember though, the new detectives you elect could very well be the killers. The identity of the person falsely accused remains anonymous in order to keep it difficult for the killer(s) to narrow down who is a detective. Pretty much the rest of it is covered in that post with the rules, but again, feel free to ask any questions, as I'm sure I missed something.
