I was recently watching a DVD called "The monday night war" released by world wrestling entertainment. It talks about how WCW and the WWF feuded on monday nights. I never knew this until today, but WCW used to hold shows somewhere in Disney MGM studios. Does anybody have any information on this?

Also, they showed pictures where Hulk Hogan signed with WCW somewhere in Disney MGM studios. Where was this?

Lastly, they talked about how some wrestlers would fight outside at MGM. Local residents of orlando would call the police and police would show up at the end of the shows. Any info on this? thnx!

Back in the mid 90's WCW used to film shows in one of the Studio's soundstages. When they brought Hulk Hogan on board, they filmed a fake tickertape parade for him. Then when he joined the nWo, they did another show or two that was filmed outside, but in the park. I really wish I would have been into wrestling at the time. I liked Disney, but not wrestling. :(

i saw a monday night nitro at mgm years ago. it was right outside the gates where you buy your tickets. you needed tickets to get in the area of seats they had out but you could easily see if you found the right spot like at a parade.

On a return flight from WDW a few years ago, The One Man Gang was on the flight. Someone asked what he was doing in Orlando, and he said he was taping a show at Disney World. It was funny how well spoken he was considering he had flames tatooed on the sides of his head...

They did film Thunder in Paradise at the Grand Floridian, and all over WDW...I remember this one episode where Hulk was fighting this guy on top of the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon.

When I was at MGM one year I did see a taping of WCW Worldwide. It was taped in soundstages 1 and 2 or soundstages 2 and 3 I can't remember which. I didn't cost anything to see it. We just went up to the window by the front gates and got a couple of tickets. It held I think about four or five hundred, about as many as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Ahh thunders of paradise, i used to watch that show just so i could see what part of disney they were using. One time the show went to the middle east and i think they used the morocco pavillion as a set man that looked corny. As for where they filmed the old WWE shows they probably used Soundstage 2 and 3 as they are both connected to each other and allows a much bigger space for the show. Now those stages are home to WWTBAM play it. Soundstage 1 still films stuff from time to time including Kermits Swamp Years and the recent Brother Bear music video.

FYE, Circuit City, Suncoast, and Best Buy are some stores you may want to try. Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target stores do not carry WWE Home Video products. You can also order it off WWE Shopzone. They've got a package which includes the DVD and the "RAW: Escape the Rules" shirt which is running for $34.95. I might just pick up that package.
