California's mask mandate officially does not end until the 15th. I think Disney wants all their parks the same, so it won't get dropped before then. I also think Disney wants this to be a Friday news dump.

While they *could* announce it today, it's already after 4 p.m. Eastern and they'd be announcing dropping the masks but making people wait until Tuesday to do it, which I think would go badly. Therefore, my official, take-it-to-the-bank prediction is that the announcement from Disney comes next Friday, the 18th, to be effective the following day, Saturday the 19th.

except this is exactly what they did in June - one never knows. I really won't guess except my joke is I never get lucky with masks at Disney lol

My bet is that the Super Bowl MVP standing by himself on the annual SB parade float at MK , Monday afternoon will be maskless and wearing sunglasses from lack of sleep from playing in CA at the SB the night before. I'm going to Disney World!
