Disney "Lifestylers"

I always said if I didn't need to work I would love to live so close I could go every day. It would not be like a vacation. It would be more like going to one place and spending the day exploring every nook and cranny of it. Livestream and blog about it. Turn it into a job. This would not just be the parks, it would be at resorts, DS, and other parts like the mini golf courses. Talk to people that stop by or are interested. Meet people that follow the streams or blog.

I think it's safe to say that, if I ever became a Disney "Lifestyler", I would spend alot of time finding every tiny little detail in every area of every park, spend alot of time people-watching, probably take up photography and document as much as I could, etc. I think attractions would not be that important to me. I'd definitely make it a point to visit every food establishment on property -TS, QS, kiosk, cart. It would be very refreshing not to have to rush through everything.

Many people that are doing this as part of their profession are not in the parks nearly as much as they appear to be. A full day of well-planned filming with strategic park hopping and a good crew can cover as much a months’ worth of weekdaily short videos (about 20 videos at 3 to 5 minutes) and 2 or 3 longer form videos (10 to 12 minutes). Generally the more well-known ones tend to go for shorter filming times more often, perhaps every week or two, so they can stay more on top of things.

There are fringe benefits in the form of event tickets and the like, but mostly it’s a breakeven endeavor unless you get extremely popular.

I was a lifestyler before lifestyling was a thing. My first AP from November 04-05? 145 times in 365 days. Of course, the parks were empty fo a lot of that time and it was wonderful.

I was racking up numbers like that (ok, not super close, but still lots), but for Six Flags. They had a free meal plan, which meant free dinner after work, all the time.

If I lived within 20 minutes of Disney...I'd probably be there almost every day. When you're that close, you don't have to eat there or act like a typical tourist. Maybe I've had a tough day at work and a zip around Thunder Mountain is what I need. Maybe it's a Friday night and instead of going out to eat I want to catch a parade...why not lol?

This would so be me.
