Disney Let Down

OK how do you handle the "Disney Let Down" when you get home??? I am starting to question my judgement in picking now for our trip...meaning...I will be home all day every day all summer long with the kids and I think I am going to be hearing alot of "Im Bored...when can we go back to Disney?" just wondering how others get back into the groove of things.

Oh, those Disney Blues, they are a killer. I agree with everyone about the video, that's what we've been doing. Especially the funny things I caught on tape that make all of us crack up to watch

We may have to start a support thread for all the Post Disney Depression...just remember....your not alone

Post-trip blues are inevitable...planning that next trip, as everyone else has already suggested, is really the only way to handle them!

It also helps to have everybody think about what they liked the most, what they'd really like to do again, and what they missed, and include those things in future discussions. This works with all ages. Gives everybody something positive to look forward to, instead of the gloomy "wish I was there..." blues.

My plan after my next trip (five more weeks!:brick: ) is to have taken so many pictures it'll take me weeks to get them all sorted out and put together in a slide show! Ah the joys of digital photography!

Handling the 'Post-Trip' blues

Live the Mouse!!

Planning for the next trip and going over the pics and vids of your trip help, but so does visiting WDWMAGIC.COM,

using your 'Disney-fied' desktop with your WDW screen saver software,

Wearing your souvinier shirts, shorts, hats, socks, ties, jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters and using your WDW coffee mug, dishes, glassware, appliances, furniture.

Proudly displaying your 'WDW, Been there - done that- going back bumper sticker

Playing 'The D Show' on the PC

Playing with the folks in the trivia posts on WDWMAGIC

Skipping lunch to save your money for lunch at the Plaza Pavilion at MK

I think first plan another trip..even if it is months or years off, having a Disney goal seems to help. You can always change the date as time goes on works well.

Hop on line and help others plan and give any advice you can to newbies who could use your valuable assistance. It will help them and make you feel better.

Help other at work or any other organization who are going too, that makes you feel better and sometimes they will bring you a small token WDW gift in appreciation.....:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

We start planning our next trip. No matter how far off it may be--we just love talking about it. It's been since August 1999 since we last went and we have to go soon for the following reasons;
1. Our son was 4 when we last went. We HAVE to refresh his memory
2. I will soon go insane since the Disney store is all kid oriented nowdays and I can't get my fix there
3. I have had the same amount of beer in the past three years as I had in the one week at WDW in '99. Time to go relax!

Disney Heaven

We live in the UK, so plan waayy ahead for our holiday. Coming back for 4th time to Florida, also did Disneyland in California, and we start palnning the next one when we get back.

Web sites help a lot, hearing about other people's times and the latest news.

Helps you get through the winters, back in August. Have bought
the tickets on line, £188.00 for 10 day pass.

Can't wait until August.

First Park will be Magic Kingdom, first ride will be Splash Mountain.
