The Cast

My husband J, and I (and our baby Pook-a-loozs Goofy & Pluto)

Travel Dates
Walt Disney World: September 22nd - September 29th staying at Pop Century
Disney Cruise Line: September 20th - October 4th aboard the Disney Magic

Let the memories begin...

Thanks to an early flight and speedy Magical Express, we were checked in at Pop and ready to go before 10 AM. And I finally got a Happily Ever Pin! My heart (and collection) was happy.
002.JPG

While on the bus, I kept asking J, "are we really here?" After so many trips, the feeling is always still so surreal! But when we were greeted by this sight, it began to sink in.
003.JPG

It all started...at the place where it all started. The Magic Kingdom.
004.JPG

This was our bonus day - a day to just soak in the sights and savor the feels...not that we don't do that every day...I just wanted an extra day at Disney okay!?
013.JPG

It was a beautiful, sunny morning, Main Street U.S.A. was decked out in fall decoration, and we strolled down hand-in-hand wearing our Bride & Groom ears, starting our Disneymoon off the way we wanted! How lucky and blessed I felt...
022.JPG

OH MY GOSH...so if didn't know this about me, now you do. I LOVE FOUNTAINS. Seriously have some inexplicable fascination to them, and amidst all the construction and wondering if the hub construction would be finishing up by the time we arrived, I actually forgot that new fountains would be arriving to the World. And I LOVE THEM.
035.JPG

Hello, beautiful! We spent a lot of time taking pictures in front of the castle with our ears on. So glad we did - they are the favorites of the trip!
038.JPG

First ride of Disney World 2015 was the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, aka Blue Ride.
044.JPG

This is really one of our favorites. It was so nice to just relax while getting small glimpses of all the fun that was waiting for us, from Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear, to Mickey's Star Traders.
049.JPG

Our first FP was for Space Mountain, my true favorite ride because let's be honest, I need thrills. I feel like a child when I go on this ride because the moment I walk inside the queue, I take off and like an impatient kid, I tell J, "Come on! Hurry up! Let's gooo!"
065.JPG

We enjoyed a leisurely walk from Tomorrowland to New Fantasyland where we made a stop by Big Top Treats (new fave store) and Journey of the Little Mermaid. The queue is definitely the highlight of this ride.

It was about noontime, and we hadn't eaten since 4 AM, you can bet we were hungry and ready for some food. To Be Our Guest we go!

We always end up here on our trips, this year we got a breakfast ADR the morning of :) We always love it and we have now eaten in all three rooms :)
Yay!! Isn't it great? It never gets old and since the ballroom scene of the movie is my most favorite Disney scene ever, I basically can't ever get enough and it pains me to leave every time. Will return here for every trip for the rest of my life. :D

After a pretty hardcore day at Magic Kingdom, we were excited to slow it down with some Food & Wine. But really just food. :D
004.JPG

We skipped F&W last year, so we were looking forward to being reacquainted with all the festivities. But first...the morning ritual.
007.JPG

Say hi to Fountain of Nations.
008.JPG

Admire EPCOT's morning beauty.
010.JPG

Ride Soarin' and Living with the Land.
012.JPG

But instead of repeating The Seas with Nemo and Friends, we went to the Imagination Pavilion. Because why not!
038.JPG

IMAAAAAGINAAAATION! I kinda like this ride. It's corny, yes, but those red vehicles are pretty comfortable, and there's always something (crazy) to look at. Has anyone every noticed the Hidden Mickey in Figment's upside down kitchen? Mmmm, onion rings.
040.JPG

Also, I adore the fountains outside. They make me happy.
041.JPG

After a quick stop at the Character Spot, it was just about time to start the Food & Wine journey. Our first stop was at the Cranberry Bog which I remembered from our 2013 trip. It's pretty cool...and kinda gross if you think about it.
052.JPG

Topiaries!!! One of my favorite things about special events at EPCOT. What are ya havin' Mickey? It looks good...I might get myself one of those too!

Grabbed a passport and we were on our way! Another one of my favorite things about F&W...I have to collect the stamps! I feel so incomplete without them...
066.JPG

We started on Canada side this time...passing by booths here and there...making mental notes to stop by certain booths on our second go-round.
073.JPG

We made our first stop at Ireland and got the Lobster and Seafood Fisherman's Pie. The outside was layered with cheese on potatoes and potatoes on cheese, and the inside was bottled with heat and bits of seafood. It was a hearty start.
078.JPG
We made our way towards France where we gave the Boeuf Bourguignon a try. The braised short ribs were so tender and being doused in that cabernet sauce didn't hurt either. The mashed potatoes were delicious, but can you really mess that up?
085.JPG

The view was simply perfect.
086.JPG

We moved on to Belgium where J decided to get himself a Leffe Blonde. Beer is not my thing, and I didn't even bother to take a sip, but he seemed to enjoy it. We're not huge drinkers so don't expect any expert analysis here...actually don't expect any expert analysis on the food either. We eat a lot but we don't know the nitty gritty besides yum and okay. :hilarious:
090.JPG

Nice view of Mexico as we continued our stroll through World Showcase. La Hacienda might be on my list of places to try next!
092.JPG

We stopped in one of the marketplace shops bursting with F&W merchandise.
093.JPG

Like Flower & Garden festival, the displays are everywhere and I take pictures of them like I've never seen anything like it. Funnily enough, J is equally as interested and it makes me happy that we're just two peas in a pod.

Something else we were looking forward to at Food & Wine...going to the CHASE Lounge. Why? AC and Coke Freestyle Machines? We are there! It's not really anything special beyond that. Tables and seating areas, and a 'photobooth' aka a blank wall that you could tweet your picture to. But nice views.
105.JPG

After indulging in...indulgence, we kept moving. It was getting kind of crowded and lines for the booths were growing, so we skipped over a good chunk. Still got my stamps though!

Our next pick would be at New Zealand where we chose the Seared Venison Loin since the first and last time we ever ate venison was at F&W 2013 and we had it in some kind of sausage form and it was absolutely disgusting. So after that lovely experience, who wouldn't want to try it again!? I kid, I kid, but this seared-loin form seemed to be a lot more appealing.
117.JPG

I can't say it was good or bad. I couldn't even tell the difference from say, pork. Sorry Bambi!
118.JPG

To Scotland we went! And it is in Scotland where I tasted my favorite of the festival!
119.JPG

Fresh Potato Pancake with Smoked Scottish Salmon (and herb sour cream). Everything about this was divine. The pancake was the perfect amount of friend and crunchy, yet not salty, and that smoked salmon...just saliva everywhere...essentially topped with liquidified sour cream and onion chips. I sincerely enjoyed.
120.JPG

The Dominican Republic booth was more like the Dominican Republic country as they went all out in space and décor. I guess it was the *hot new* booth of 2015.
121.JPG

Here we got Lechon Asado, which is roasted pork with mangu, pickled red onion and avocado; yuca souffle topped with griddled cheese.
126.JPG

Pork: good. Yuca: good. Avocado: good. Onions: good. Mangu? What is mangu? According to the internet, it is mashed plantains. Well it was good! I failed to see how all these pieces in the dish blended together, but maybe I missed the concept to begin with.
129.JPG
We enjoyed looking at some of these pretty displays of wine and cheese.
133.JPG
We could tell we were getting super artsy over here. Moving on to some more...untraditional eats.

Welcome to Next Eats. Home of nerds like this guy next to me.
136.JPG

He's been dying to try liquid nitrogen ice cream for years, and he got his wish.
138.JPG

I present to you: Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel
137.JPG

How did it taste? To me, no different that regular ice cream except maybe that it was a little more like gelato texture and consistency than ice cream? It was solid chocolate ice cream, solid caramel, and solid almond flavor. And it was a good time for something sweet!

Our other pick from Next Eats: New York Strip with Parsnip Silk, Balsamic Glaze and Arugula Foam
139.JPG

This was kinda weird to me, but the steak was actually not bad and cut pretty easily. That green thing though...it really was liquidified arugula and I can see people who like to drink kale milkshakes with chia seeds floating around in them enjoying it, but not me.
134.JPG

We took our time eating here because it was pretty hot out by now. But we enjoyed the view and our time together.
135.JPG

We started walking towards Craft Beers because J had something in mind on his wishlist.
148.JPG

Funky Buddha Vanilla Espresso Porter, which again I didn't try, but he responded more positively to than the Leffe Blonde. From there, we popped into Mexico again because it's so beautiful indoors, but we soon found ourselves outside again and at Farm Fresh.
154.JPG

We got the Loaded Mac 'n Cheese with Nueske's Pepper Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Peppers and Green Onions:
156.JPG

The mac n cheese crispy, the bacon bits were real bacon, and there was some kind of jalapeno taste that just tingled our taste buds. J took one bite and his eyes just widened and he was like, "...oh man...THIS IS DELICIOUS." His favorite of the festival, hands down.
157.JPG

We decided to head towards the Festival Center to see what was up. We passed by the Cranberry Bog again and they were handing out free samples. Yummy!

Actually, just kidding. Our visit to the Festival Center was delayed because we decided to beat the heat and crowds by paying a visit to Ellen.
159.JPG

It was here where I felt fatigue finally hit me. I was determined to nap, and nap is what I did. We watched the preshow, got in one of the three vehicles with plenty of rows to ourselves, I laid down, put my head on J's lap and we were moving. It was kinda cool to see the dinosaurs right above me as I laid there. Actually scratch that, it was scary. The last thing I remember is seeing the t-rex and stegosaurus on the cliff. The next thing I know, I wake up to Ellen wreaking havoc on the Jeopardy floor. It was a really good nap, and I'm not a huge napper. I felt so refreshed and ready to go!
160.JPG

Now, to the Festival Center we go!
176.JPG

It was pretty empty inside. Not much going on in here, but they did have some exclusive merchandise.
177.JPG

And the Ghirardelli displays are always fun.
167.JPG

172.JPG

Overall, it's just another place to see some décor and take a few pictures. And get Festival Completion Stamps.
178.JPG

Back outside we go!
158.JPG
I don't drink coffee, but this was cute.

Our last Food & Wine stop would be at a repeat of 2013: Hawaii.
185.JPG

J loved the Kalua Pork Slider (with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise) so much last time that we ended up getting two. It was still just as good the third time around, and was that last missing piece we needed in our stomachs to hold us over until dinner. Cause it was a big one!
186.JPG

We made our annual stop to appreciate Canada's Victoria Garden. Absolutely one of the most beautiful places in WDW.
187.JPG

My eyes cannot get enough. We always take pictures here and it always looks so unreal.
192.JPG

And while we were in Canada, why not stay for some Lumberjacking fun? This looked really exhausting. The guy in red must've had a really mean/bad/stubborn log because he could not get it for the life of him. Felt bad for him.
190.JPG
Hidden Mickey Alert!
193.JPG

This was some serious entertainment! The girl won 2-out-of-3. Do not try this at home kids!
194.JPG

With that, we were feeling like it was time to take a park break and go do some resort hopping.
195.JPG

I am very excited to announce that we were visiting my favorite resorts on property for so many reasons I cannot explain but I'm going to try to anyways! Yacht & Beach Club.
196.JPG

Welcome home.

Stepping off the Friendship Boat and onto the dock brings back some very-cherished memories for me. My family loved staying here, and while we spent a lot of time in the parks, we also spent a lot of time at Stormalong Bay and wandering the grounds and shops here. We even did a fishing excursion one year and contrary to my expectations, it was so much fun! So as we walked down the dock, my heart just swelled with affection as I remembered some good times.
202.JPG

The lobby takes my breath away. It's not gigantic and grandiose like Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge, but there's something so formal, yet also warm and inviting about it.
205.JPG

I admire the full package and Yacht Club has it.
206.JPG

Lower ceilings and handsome furniture really gives me the nautical feeling.
207.JPG

I took a picture of this hallway because there are so many things I love about it. The light walls, being able to sit next to the windows, the shiny floors and rich carpet. It reminds me of when my brother and I would just take off ahead of our parents and run through the halls. J and I danced down this hallway like the sillies we are. We danced right down to the shops, where I continued to remember how much time I would spend in here picking out that perfect souvenir. I guess I haven't changed very much!
208.JPG

But my favorite hallway of all of Yacht Club is this one. The lighting fixture is a step above the others, the floor, while still shiny, is made extra shiny from the plethora of light, the plants, the yellow and blue, ALL OF IT makes me so happy!
216.JPG

This segued right in to my favorite hallway of Beach Club. What are the chances!? For many of the same reasons, I love this hallway. Colorful umbrellas of Cape May, shiny floors, impeccable lighting, and those trendy curtains I-MUST-HAVE-NOW!
217.JPG

Beach Club lobby is an explosion of color and awesome seating that is just a feast for my eyes. Good memories of this place. In 2004, we stayed here for three extra days because of Hurricane Charley and Disney brought characters to the lobby!
219.JPG

We took a seat outside and admired the beautiful view. After all this time, I am still stunned by how much love I have for this place. It's as if someone took all of my favorite things and fused it into one building in a way I could never fully appreciate until it was all put together. I know this sounds corny, but I've stared at this picture for the past five minutes trying to put into words how I feel about it, and all I can think about is that I miss it.
221.JPG

Anyways...*wipes tears and moves on*...the Solarium! Such a bright and cheery place that I have seriously modeled my "Disney room" at home after. We even call it The Solarium. I'm feeling inspired all over again.

The time has come to truly celebrate in style.
244.JPG

As you may have discovered whilst reading this report, J likes steak. And where better to indulge than at the popularly-touted 'best steakhouse on Disney property?' We haven't eaten at many signatures, but of course for the Disneymoon we wanted to treat ourselves to not just a memorable meal, but a memorable experience. Yachtman's was a no-brainer. After a blissful afternoon spent at Yacht & Beach Club, we were ready for some good food.
245.JPG

Upon checking in, we were greeted by the Aging Room where you know it's getting serious. J has talked about dry-aged steaks all the time and I never really understood it until now. It was so neat to see it with our owns eyes.
249.JPG

Also on display was each cut that we would find on the menu. Basically had to stop J from drooling in front of the chefs.
254.JPG

We were seated and I took in the restaurant's clean-cut, no-nonsense, just simple elegance and very refined décor. The first surprise of the night came in the form of the menu! At the very top, amidst an image of a heart made of rose petals said Just Married with our names on it! Such a simple yet unexpected gesture. We were very touched, and our waitress kindly returned them to us nicely rolled up with a ribbon tied around it.
259.JPG

Bread service was simply fantastic. There were sour dough rolls, but the highlight was the onion rolls. You just tugged on them slightly and they would pull apart. The butter was salted to perfection, that roasted garlic...we were like 'are we supposed to spread it?' Once we figured it out, it was divine...
262.JPG

But really, time for the main courses! I got the 12-oz Prime New York Strip Steak. I like steak as much as the next person, but I'm no fanatic or expert like J is. Nevertheless, I thought it was delicious. The meat was so tender, the sauce had this peppery kick that I loved, and the potatoes were au gratin which is one of my favorites!
264.JPG

J was a happy camper when he saw his 18-oz Kansas City Strip Steak arrive at the table. This is a big piece of meat and he ate it to the very bone. His analysis of why this steak was leagues better than all the ones we've ate prior to this meal was that it was tender and juicy through and through. Halfway through some of his other steaks, he found them to dry out or become tougher to cut and chew. But not this one. Those fries were a nice, unique touch too. They were malt-vinegar which wouldn't be my first choice, but they were surprisingly tasty.

Throughout the meal, we could see it raining and pouring, pouring then raining, outside. All the while, we sat in our cozy little booth with the candlelight flickering and sharing good conversation. So incredibly glad that we weren't stuck at EPCOT huddled for shelter underneath a F&W booth or something! It was a real revelation that we did this right.
270.JPG

Our second surprise came in the form of complimentary desserts! And one for each of us, how sweet! From left to right (these are not official names as they weren't on the menu and I'm doing this by memory): cookies n' cream chocolate, raspberry/fig gelatinous square covered in sugar, macaron that I can't remember the flavor of. Winner: cookies n' cream!
279.JPG

When it came time for the real desserts, we had high expectations and we were not disappointed. My Crème Brulee was sizeable and gorgeous. Not to mention a delicious combination of vanilla, fruity, and a bit of chocolate. Some of the best I've ever had.
280.JPG

J went for the Chocolate-Peanut Cake which was very rich, but a ideal combination of things and flavors he loves.

Man, oh man, it was really a meal fit for a Disneymoon. I'm so glad we chose it over some of the other signature places on property. It was just what we wanted. Not too much fanfare, just a part of a relaxing-day-package and some of the best food we ever ate.

And the rain had stopped just in time for our evening stroll around Boardwalk. Could it get any better than this?

It should most DEFINITELY be on your list! Yes yes yes!! Not only is everything so beautiful and relaxing, it is really a blessing to be able to walk to EPCOT or HS if you wanted to. The pool is the best, hands down, and there's so many places to eat there and at Yacht Club. Will definitely bring our kids here...over and over. :)

The air felt refreshed, lights began to twinkle, and we embarked on a stroll around Crescent Lake.
283.JPG

The Boardwalk was illuminated in the distance and we could hear the Friendship Boat's horn sounding off.
285.JPG

A stunning and nostalgic sight for me by Swan & Dolphin. Love this bridge so much.
291.JPG

The sky was deepening in blue at a rapid pace and we were determined to catch every second of it. I got this awesome shot of Spaceship Earth looking like the moon behind Beach Club. It was such a sight to behold!
296.JPG

Dolphin lookin' very attractive in tonight's sunset as well. I particularly like how the fountain is illuminated pink-red. Don't think I've ever noticed that before.
301.JPG

Then we arrived at the Boardwalk. It wasn't as alive as we thought it would be, but that actually suited us well too. We were just happy to drink in the air there.
302.JPG

This is one of my favorite buildings. (There's so many different ones - I love that!)
303.JPG

We had planned to walk back to EPCOT for the nighttime festivities, but as a Friendship Boat just arrived, we just decided to hop on. It was a good choice. Sailing in the nighttime air felt lovely.
308.JPG

And we were back at EPCOT. With no real plan in mind, we just strolled around the World Showcase, looking at all the different sources of light reflecting, shimmering, and glowing across the lagoon.
311.JPG

Germany particularly caught my eye tonight. It looked like something from a fairytale.
313.JPG

We watched Illuminations. We hugged, we kissed. We said goodbye to the Fountain of Nations. We walked on the twinkling ground. We said goodbye to the big ball, many times. Thanks for all the good times EPCOT! You are one of a kind and we love you.

Another day, another early morning. It was our last park day, and we'd be celebrating it in the best way possible. At the Magic Kingdom!
004.JPG

Usually on our last days at Disney, we book a really late flight and stay in the World as long as humanly possible. Man, were we excited to spend an entire last day at Disney and end it with fireworks at night and going back to our resort for another magical sleep.
006.JPG

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom and checked in for our breakfast reservation. We felt so special.
008.JPG

Yes, we came back...for another Be Our Guest breakfast. I told you in the very first post, we ate here a lot, and are quite addicted.
014.JPG
Main Street glowed orange, whether from all the Halloween decoration or the tint from the sunrise...it was a glorious morning.
018.JPG

Though I wanted to stand here for at least 20 more minutes to just *be*, we had to make our dining reservation! So we moved on.
019.JPG
Continuing to appreciate the journey instead of the destination.
020.JPG

Not a soul in sight. How amazing is that?
021.JPG

This reminded me of an image on disneyworld.com for a while. Obviously I'm not a professional but the beauty speaks for itself.
023.JPG

Truly appreciating all the colors of Fantasyland here, without the throngs of people and strollers, it's nice to se how all these different buildings can blend together seamlessly.
024.JPG

*Grrrr*...that's the sound of our tummies rumbling.

We chose to sit right by the windows this time, where I had the time of my life just watching snow fall from the dark sky outside. (Isn't it the crack of dawn in the middle of Florida?!)
032.JPG

My love for Be Our Guest is eternal...I still did not stop gaping and gawking and photographing all sorts of things.
034.JPG

Snow! Weee! Also peep the reflection of the chandelier. This is what I do before my food comes.
042.JPG

And sure enough, as we are A-OK with the preordering system, our food came.
044.JPG

J got the Eggs Florentine which wasn't all that great in my opinion. The puff pastry was just like one I had at dinner with seafood, but replaced with less-than-appetizing eggs. The ham was nothing special, and I don't really enjoy eating tomatoes just..like..that. J enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't get it again.
045.JPG

Now I looooved my Assorted Cured Meats and Cheese platter. Cheese, yes. Bread, yes. All sorts of ham, yes. Fig and marmalade...yummm. I ate insanely enthusiastically...it probably looked kinda crazy. But hey, I enjoyed myself. :)

After we left BOG (we may or may not return one more time...) the park still hadn't opened yet and we wondered whether or not we should head back to the hub and enjoy the barrenness before it was no more. But then new sights and sounds hit our senses. Mine Train. Running. People on it. Screaming.
048.JPG

We were on! Then off. Then on again. What an unexpected and wonderful treat!
049.JPG

When the clock struck 9, we headed to Tomorrowland, not for Space, not for Buzz, not even for Blue Ride.
052.JPG

Astro Orbiter, you are a tricky one. You load slowly, your capacity is quite limited, you have no FP, how are we supposed to ride you??
057.JPG

Well it was Day 3 at Magic Kingdom, we had accomplished everything we wanted to accomplish, so I guess we'll devote park opening to give you a whirl!
062.JPG
And erm...it was empty. Not complaining, but it's just weird. :hilarious:

We FPed onto Space Mountain, which really made no difference, then headed back to Fantasyland. This is one of my favorite buildings. I love the red/blue contrast, and the flowers on the window sills! I need this.
075.JPG

As we passed by Winnie the Pooh, it occurred to me that I've never seen the inside of Mr. Sanderz's house. So like a child, I crawled in:
082.JPG

It was really low, but I made it! And of course, I had an episode of cuteness overload.
083.JPG

We wandered back to Tomorrowland for our first dosage of TTA for the day. I LOVE getting empty carts!
091.JPG
And then, in a flash, we were back at Be Our Guest for lunch. LAST TIME, I PROMISE. We got the usual tuna salad and beef sandwich so I won't repost those pictures which you're probably very familiar with now...but we did decide that we'd share a French Onion Soup instead of the Potato Leek. And it was simply delicious. Salty, oniony, bits of bread soaked in there, topped with thick, gooey cheese. Drooling right now.
098.JPG

As we had hit *that point* of being stuffed a long time ago, it was really a struggle to finish this meal. I know I had a salad compared to his sandwich, but I did eat more today. We spent a long time just enjoying Be Our Guest one last time. Until we meet again!
108.JPG

We ended up at Big Thunder Mountain with a FP right after lunch, which was herky jerky, twisty turny, and just loads of fun! I love how it looks like you're going to hit your head on the entrance to the tunnel but then it just drops you. Classic Disney fun.
109.JPG

Then it was time for some Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe fun. I've been collecting ornaments for a few years and my Christmas tree is actually starting to look like this. I'm doing something right!
111.JPG

We walked across Liberty Square to the Haunted Mansion. I am always in awe of the mansion and the foliage! Let's give a round of applause to Disney landscaping team for really bottling you into this property and making it feel 100% isolated from the rest of the park's vastly differing attractions.
112.JPG

Now I know this is a pretty pointless picture, but we got stuck at the staircase scene where the candlesticks float and the footsteps glow, and I just wanted to remind myself how much I enjoy this scene. It kind of seems like a 'filler' in between scenes and could be an afterthought or completely forgotten, but I find it so haunting and a real 'part' of the mansion theme.
113.JPG

From there, we sat down for some Country Bear Jamboree. There was...blooooooood on the groooound!!! Slays me. Every time.

Since we were in Frontierland, we found a spot to catch some Festival of Fantasy. Your daily reminder of why it's so cool...
119.JPG

121.JPG

123.JPG

Aren't they the cutest? Goals.
129.JPG

Another thing we had not yet accomplished this trip was riding the Magic Kingdom Railroad. Well that just can't happen! So we hopped on at Frontierland and were on our way. Passed by this awesome view of Big Thunder that no one has time to see on the ride itself.
130.JPG
Once we hit the woods, everything felt so relaxed. Hearing the sounds and feeling the pulse of the train is one of those therapeutic-type moments that you need in a fun-filled day.

The narrator's voice is my favorite...it used to be the old TTA guy, but since that is no more...
133.JPG

Always thought these scenes were so cool when I was a kid. I always asked my parents if the people and animals were real.
134.JPG

After a stop at Storybook Circus, we got off at the Main Street station and putted around Main Street. I really liked the pink box on the sign below. Don't think I've noticed it before and now I want something just like it.
135.JPG

And no stop to Main Street is complete without visiting the Confectionery. What would be your pick? I'd take that large Mickey sugar cookie right now.

Bu no time for sweets right now...we were about to go to dinner! No, not at Be Our Guest. We were trying something new today and as always, we were very excited to test unknown waters.

Plaza Restaurant! A cute little place that most people just pass by without even realizing what it is. That was certainly the case for J. I came here a few times with my family, but it's been a long, long time.
150.JPG

Upon walking in, it was confirmed that it was indeed as small as it looks. It was very bright and cozy though.
158.JPG

Of course, I became obsessed with the lighting and had to capture it.
155.JPG

We sat down to this view. The yellow umbrellas have always been a nice touch to the area, and even though they helped obscure the castle, the also added a pop of color.
157.JPG
We chose this place because we were paying out of pocket and not only is Plaza's menu reasonably priced, but it had items on it that J and I both really craved.
163.JPG

I got the Grilled Reuben and it was everything a reuben should be. The rye bread, corned beef, and dressing blended perfectly, and topped with cheese and SAUERKRAUT! My fave! The broccoli slaw was a great side too. I thoroughly enjoyed this and ate it way too fast.
164.JPG

J got the Beef Brisket Onion Burger which was exactly what it sounds like. Both the brisket and the burger tasted real good, and the bread made the difference from most burgers in my opinion. J savored this big time.

Plaza was a success! Sure the restaurant is small, the service was a little hectic, and I don't even think there was a restroom inside, but this meal was $30...and it was good! Can't beat that.

We opted out of ordering dessert and instead, headed next door to the Ice Cream Parlor
172.JPG

SO. DARN. CUTE. Can my kitchen please look like this?! Anyways, we debated whether or not to order the mini Kitchen Sink, but in the end, decided it would be very unhealthy, a huge waste, and we didn't want to carry the sink around. So what did we get?
176.JPG

A good ol' ice cream sandwich! So simple, yet so delectable.
182.JPG

We plopped down on some turf and munched away, enjoying the air and spotting the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party. Life is good.

Our last park day was winding down, and evening was going to kick in soon. We were very content with all the rides we did and food we ate today. So we did what we do best: just wander.
188.JPG

We ended up at Bonjour! Village Gifts where besides looking at all the Beauty and the Beast themed merchandise, I really like how the shop itself looks. Details, details, details.
192.JPG

I like seeing the lights from Cinderella's Royal Table from the outside. Looks so enchanting and inviting. Can't wait to return here someday.
193.JPG

We're a very 'ooh look at this, look at that' couple. We like to share everything, and that's what makes Disney such a great place for us to be. There's always something going on around you. If you look in 3 different directions, you could be taken down 3 very different paths!
195.JPG

Splash Mountain's shop also wins the "forget the merchandise, just look at the shop itself!" award.
196.JPG

Dusk is falling and I'm falling for the Cinderella Castle all over again. Look at that pink illumination!! IT'S. SO. PRETTY!!!

Tomorrowland at night = winner. Those trees are also winners.

Not gonna lie, we were pretty tired. The second half of our WDW days were pretty loaded and it was really catching up with us. We debated whether or not we should pass on Wishes and just go back to the resort instead of fighting the masses later, but then we decided, we're here, and we're going to end this the right way.
206.JPG

We decided to watch Wishes from somewhere new. And that would be the train station. With Main Street shining brightly in front of us and from a higher vantage point, we were excited to see what we might be able to see!
213.JPG

Star light, star bright,
first star I see tonight.
I wish I may, I wish I might,
have the wish, I wish tonight.
We'll make a wish, and do as dreamers do,
and all our wishes (all our wishes),
will come true.
220.JPG

With that, our time at Walt Disney World would soon be coming to an end. We spent seven days in a fairytale, all over the world, in the movies, and in the wild. I enjoyed every minute of it, feeling grateful for the surprises and good fortune, but mostly spending all the time in the world with J. Because Disney wouldn't Disney without him. And knowing he feels the exact same way means we have a lifetime of Disney ahead of us, and that is really my dream come true.
