Anyone ever hear of this? I got invited to it, being an EMT and all. Here's the info:
Disney Institute showcases best practices and philosophies from the world renowned Walt Disney World Resort.
The Disney Institute is bringing its renowned professional development program, the Disney "Keys to Excellence" to Altoona, PA on May 4, 2006. Sponsored locally by Southern Alleghenies EMS Council, Inc., the full-day event gives area business professionals a chance to discover the business behind the Disney magic. Offered locally for the first time, the Disney Institute had trained tens of thousands of leaders from more than 35 countries and 40 industries through its professional development programs held at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. This program is ideal for any size of business - from leaders in Fortune 100 companies and mid-sized organizations to small businesses. The "Disney Keys to Excellence" program shares the concepts and strategies that have built and maintained a culture of excellence at Walt Disney World, engaging over 52,000 cast members (the largest single employer in the country) to deliver excellence every day - despite business challenges internally and externally. the program demonstrates how to achieve outstanding results in your own organization.
The Disney Keys program had four 90-minute sessions:
Leadership, Disney Style - Participants discover how effective leadership has been the catalyst at Disney to driver employee/customer satisfaction and bottom-line results, from the company's inception to today.
Management, Disney Style - Participants examine the importance of integrating an organization's corporate culture into selection, training, and care.
Service, Disney Style - Participants explore world-renowned Disney principles for service excellence.
Loyalty, Disney Style - Participants learn key practices and principles in building and sustaining loyalty that have made Disney a trusted and revered brand around the world for more than 75 years.
I've never heard of it. Has anyone else? Unfortunately it costs $420 per person for the 9 hr program so I will not be attending but this would be an AWESOME experience.
