Checked with a friend a few days ago and they said that they are brining it back but it will be limited and they are releasing it later in the year than normal. I guess we will see.

I would say yes. The DDP is here to stay. Disney as people hooked on it and it is nearly a necessity for most because of the inflated prices on character meals. Like any good drug dealer, the first one is always free.;)

Well they're hooked on it when it's free. Whether paying for the dining plan is a good value is debatable.

The key item seems to be character meals which are, IMHO, priced artificially high. If you plan on doing these with any regularity and do not qualify for TiWL, the DDP is the best option.

Some new menus have come out within the past week, and they certainly have cut back on the number of items, while rasing some prices. In particular, Mama Melrose went from 7 apetizers to three, got rid of a few entrees and added more flatbreads. Only free dining would. Get me to go there and many other places. Narcoossees' has a strip steak for $68, it's no $68 meal I would pay oop for. We made our adrs on Friday, and got everything at our time request, first time in seven trips. I hope it comes back, because it helps my family of six tremendously.

I for one, as well as my family, loved the free dining. Back in september 2009, we found out WDW was offering it. That in itself, was what made me pull the trigger and take my fiance and our (at the time) 3 yr old son to WDW. All Star Movies, and we had a week we will NEVER forget. My father in law and my nephew came as well. Our trip was in April 2010...We can afford to go every two yrs and although we didnt get the free dining for our april 2012 trip, we just saved up longer to go. The free dining is a good offer. Ok, so maybe not to the extent that it was being given out the past 3 or 4 yrs or so, but every once in awhile, sure why not...

Free Dining would be great seeing as I get charged adult prices for a 10 year old - but it is what it is all we can do is wait and hope whatever they offer works with the budgets. In the end people will always complain about whatever the offer is - my vote is for Free Dining but to each their own.

Has anyone heard what the current bouncebacks are for around October 25 – 28? I am hoping for something worthwhile for Deluxe's as we really would love to book a CR ressie for five to six nights to check it off my bucket list from when we stayed with my grandparents in August of 1977 and the CR totally captured my imagination and I swore I would stay there someday!

Currently at the Poly. The bounce back offer is a 35% offer for select deluxe resorts on select nights through Dec. 2013. This offer may or may not be offered at the end of October.

So not for 2014 though? Seems weird to call it a bounceback if it is not truly for the next calendar year. Hope springs eternal!
