Disney is a struggling company. I don’t see an end in sight.

1. That's a site that purposefully gives the appearance of being an official Apple account, but isn't.

2. It doesn't source its information.

3. If Disney is a failing company.... why would anyone want to buy it except capital vultures that will immediately kneecap spending and then sell off parts of the company bit by bit?

Bob Iger moves to calm Disney staff after sparking ‘high anxiety’ over potential sale of TV assets

This is a second unforced error on the part of Iger. The first was characterizing the writers on strike as unreasonable and insulting them.

This error was, in my guesswork, meant to say that the linear network of ABC wasn't core, because linear networks are coming to a deadend in the world of streaming.

But the content ABC produces is indeed 'core' since it can be ported over to streaming. Cf. the experiment of Dancing with the Stars 'broadcast' on D+.

And Iger put his foot in his mouth by not making that distinction between the network and its content.

Forecast time: Look for ABC and CNN to be tiles added to D+/Hulu.

Iger did consider/want to sell off the parks in the begining of his tenure and i know everyone says the parks are a cash cow but times may be changing.... The earnings call in August is going to be brutal and I think Q4 call will be even worse.

Because they’ve mismanaged the parks on a fundamental level…
…not because they aren’t cash cows. Billions in PROFITS a year.

If that ain’t enough…sumpin wrong

I hear Hallee is gonna star in Barbie 2…

Think of the money AND cultural significance?!👍🏻👍🏻
From what I hear (haven’t seen it yet) Barbie is aiming for quite a bit of cultural significance. Good for Gerwig for creating a highly successful film “exploring the perils of toxic masculinity and entitlement and the power of female empowerment and collaboration.” (According to one movie review.)

I know you didn’t miss the joke…

…and I think we need to simplify the assessments of movies into just fun and popularity…which leads to money…
Everyone will be happy then

In weird times: simplify
