Wonderful...as if there aren't already too many scooters all over the place now we get to deal with these stupid things. Some type of paperwork should be required to limit it to those with a physical disability preventing them from walking and a wheelchair isn't an option for some reason. I'm sick of so many obese people riding around on these things and congesting up the walkways. Such is the USA in the new millennium.

The $50 price will deter most people who don't really have a disability.

I assume they'll set the max speed of these very low. We have Segway tours on the National Mall now in Washington, with people zipping along narrow sidewalks taking photos or reading their e-mails instead of looking where they're going. I don't know why the Park Service decided to allow them.

Yeah. That's not even remotely true.

According to ADA Section 35.137, subsection C - Mobility Devices
(1) Inquiry about disability. A public entity shall not ask an individual using a wheelchair or other power-driven mobility device questions about the nature and extent of the individual's disability.

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV nor the Internet, but this sounds pretty clear. I would be curious of your interpretation.

So you can't stand in line but can on a ESV...in mean time my husband is trying to figure out how we can get one...;) don't think the pregnancy line will work for one of these.

Disney has no obligation to provide wheelchairs or ESV to guests. They do so out of a courtesy and let's face it to make a few more bucks. If Disney required an individual to produce medical records think of the issues that would lead to in this litigous society. Secondly this could be a view of a person's HIPPA rights as medical issues are considered to be a private matter. A person could easily claim discrimination as Disney does not ask a person for medical paperwork if they are rolling in on there own ESV or wheelchair nor can they under the ADA. Then they would also have to start having all guests sign a waiver upon admission that they are in fact healthy enough to go on the rides.
