Disney in South America

I wonder why Disney does not build in a place like Brazil. I am sure at least a third of the people in the park "Just a Guess" were from South America. If they spend money to fly to central Florida I can imagine how many would go to Brazil. If they every did build a park in South America, I would fly down and take it in. During the middle of the attractions when they are listening to the shows in Spanish, I would talk very loud to my friends and family in English or maybe make a loud phone call in English. ..... They can be rude and insensitive to native English speakers we can return the favor.

Because it would take a lot of business away from WDW.

No, it really wouldn't, IMO.

WDW is 4 parks and all of the other cool resort stuff. Just building another park in Brazil isn't going to counteract that. Just like WDW still gets tons of UK tourists and even some Japanese tourists even both have Disney parks much closer.

Don't forget to cut the lines and bring your flag and chant really loud over and over again... USA, USA, USA, USA (or whatever country you choose).:D

They did do the parade there a year or two ago and it was pretty cool (way better looking than C!ASP and the both MK parades...)

And SUPPOSEDLY from Disney and More Blogspot- Rio de Janiero is the next rumored Disneyland Resort... I have a hard time believing that though.

Maybe they will someday who knows?

There is WDW, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland and is that it as of now? Sorry I forget if there is another one

I thought about this on this past trip...there were more people speaking Spanish than English! Just kidding......not really.. :lookaroun

Even if they were to build a park in South America, I believe people would still flock to WDW. It's a national landmark in many respects and a right of passage.

Except that if Disney built a park around here the shows wouldn't be in Spanish, but in Portuguese, which is the language we speak down here.

The only reason all the Brazilians are here right now is due to their summer break as well as they had a promo going with a travel agency out there.

Rio would be a great place to build one, then there'd almost be one on every continent which is definitely enough. And if it can be done quickly, Rio's hosting the 2016 Olympics- but it'll never happen.

I would imagine Disney (if they were to build a resort in South America) would choose Chile. It's by far the most secure country in latin america with the strongest economy. The middle-northern part of the country has a nice climate year round as well. The infrastructure is already there with super highways and great airports etc...

I have already said I don't like that idea for I do not support Disney's worldwide expansion of their theme parks, but the very thought of that happening.....
