Disney in Oct or Nov

Hey, just wondering whether visiting Dis in October or sometime around Thanksgiving is better? How are the crowds around then? We usually go for 10 or 12 days over Spring at the end of March, so we are pretty used to the crowds by now, and we have never been there in the fall, just wondering how the weather is, crowds, etc.

Oct. can still be hot and sticky; Nov less so. Still warm enough for pools, etc. I was amazed at the crowds on the weekends during Nov. During the week should be fine, unless it's near a holiday.

We have gone twice in October.
I thought the weather was great, mid 80s but it did get chilly at night for swimming.
Both times the crowds were pretty light.
If you go in mid to late October they have Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party too.

My family used to go in October/Nov every year and, before the Millenium celebration started, it was always pretty empty. But since the Millenium, it hasn't been like that. Since the celebrations start in october, it makes the parks really crowded, so if i were you i would go expecting to wait upwards up 45 min for the bigger rides.

There shouldn't be to bad of crowds between Halloween week and then Thanksgiving week. October has Not so Scary Halloween (not sure of dates).

There won't be any celebrations starting in Oct. 2002 that I know of. So they waits shouldn't be 45 min.

Last November 10th,(a Saturday) I was at Epcot (along with some others who will remain nameless ;)) and it was mobbed! We couldn't get on test track(the fast passes were gone by 4PM when we arrived)...and there were looong lines at all of the special Wine & Food Festival booths. There was a 30 min wait for the land boat ride; Maelstrom was even longer! It's been getting more and more crowded for the festival. However, my friend said it had been pretty quiet everywhere during the week. Maybe she'll stop by later and elaborate!

I agree with the previous post. The crowds are nice after Thanksgiving and beginning of December, plus you get to see the Xmas decorations without the huge crowds. :)

I've said this before, mid-late October is the best time of the entire year. Low crowds-great weather. Always our favorite time of year, just plan your trip around the park hours. And the British Isles invasion is about that time, always had a great time partying with the with crowd from the old country.

The week after TG is very good as well.

Epcot's Food and Wine festivals brings in a lot of local guests on the weekends (particularly Saturday). Something to keep in mind as you plan your mid-October to late-November Epcot visits.

The best time to go is between nov. 1- Nov. 15. It is the best time to go. I always go this that of year.

Hi all

I always go in Nov. and the weathers usually beautiful then. The last time I went was in 2000 and yes, the crowds were extremely huge for Nov. But you had the millen. going on and the election seemed to have brought more people down. I'll be going again Nov. and hope the crowds aren,t as bad as last time...Also the 100 yr. as far as I know goes to the end of the year....some one correct me if I'm wrong...:hammer:

Meega, nala kwishta!
When we go, it's always the second week in Oct. The crowds are not too bad. Plus if a celebration is going on (25th, 100th, etc.), you get to experiance it new, but don't have to deal with that first week of crowds where it can be very busy.

Temps usally good, not to much rain. Lines are not to long.

We visited for the 25th, and agin last year in Oct for the 100th. Had a great time.

Me and my family have gone to wdw for Thanksgiving for the past three years. I think this is a great time to go. We always arrive on the Wed before Thanksgiving. When you arrive at the parks the Thurs of Thanksgiving all the Christmas decorations are up. The weather is always great. If you cant be there for Thanksgiving i would go the week after.
