Disney in August

Hey guys,
my family is planning a trip to Disney and luckily the only month that would have worked for all of us is August! I was looking for any good advice or tips for surviving the brutal August FL conditions.
Any tips would be appreciated!
Note: Everyone in our party is over 18 and legal to drink expect one

You cannot trade snack credits for dining credits (quick/table service). It sounds like the travel agent isn't too familiar with Disney snacks. Many items that qualify for snack credits are large enough to be a light meal!

^^^ this! Sounds like you do not have a very knowledgeable travel agent! I hope she is not charging you to use her services! She is not sounding very helpful! I only dealt with Kingdom Konsultants or MEI travel that specialized in Disney vacations and they were free and very knowledgeable!! I am a DVC member now and know a ton so no more need for them but I highly reccomend them for you in the future.

Your very welcome!! I am a AAA member but never used them for a travel agent. Your examples reminds me why! Lol. I use them for roadside assistance and my member card for hotel discounts and that's it.

Yeah well we thought they would give us a discount for disney but apparently disney doesn't do that anymore, yet we booked everything through them go figure!

You can always cancel or talk to Kingdom Konsultants/MEI travel to transfer the reservation to their services. Or just book yourself directly through Disney and cancel that reservation through them. I know it's close to your vacation but I would.
Did you get any Disney offer that was offered for your trip dates? If so its probably too late to rebook, but definately not too late to transfer to a travel agent your existing reservation. Then you can have someone a lot more knowledgeable to help you.

They had a Disney offer for your dates i believe. You paid full rack rate? I don't know if they have that offer available anymore but I would still contact Kingdom Konsultants to ask them some questions. You are not obligated to do anything but you could just talk to them for some advice. They are highly recommended by many on here.

Just checked the summer offer is still available. Might only be for a short time. I would contact KK ASAP and see if you can get a better rate than what you paid with AAA.

Your very welcome! I hope KK can help you and if not then you know who to use the next time. They are great about booking discounts for you as soon as they come out etc. and totally free! Who does not love free! Haha . They usually respond back quickly as well if you try contacting them. Usually the same day.

Ooh yeah definitely check on the discounts. There's a 30% off rooms offer AND. A free dining plan offer out right now (FYI you can't use them together -- I tried). Don't pay full price, save your money for alcohol! LOL
