Is there any other place that posts updated disney operating hours besides DISNEYWORLD.COM?? IM CURIOUS if they are ever going to change the atrocious march hours, and i dont think they update disneyworld.com very often... thanks

Well Disneyworld.com gets updated quite often. However, the hours are probably correct. If the parks are packed, you can expect them to perhaps stay open an extra hour or two (on occasion), but for the most part the web page won't steer you wrong.

Everytime I've seen the hours and I have visited WDW they were right! Plus Disney makes their hours for a reason (but who knows what it is)

They actually extend their hours quite a bit...especially if you are going during a busy season when hours are not as good as they ought to be...

I would have to imagine that disneyworld.com would be the best place to get disney world operating hours...after all, disney decides when disney is open.

what is so bad about those hours?? You really dont need the parks open any later then that, becuase the crowds will be light to moderate, and you will still be able to see more attactions at the MK on a 9-7 day, then you would easter week when its open to 12. Plus you still get at least a parade or fireworks everyday in every park.

9-5 at DAK....thats year round except easter/xmas
9-7 or 7:30 at MGM.....plenty or time to see everything
9-7 or 8 at MK.....it was 6 last year and NO evening intertainment, at least we are doing FITS fireworks everynight.....even back in the day, we wouldnt be open much later then 8 or 9 during this time of year.
9-9 at Epcot.....this is year round, agian except easter/xmas

so whats atrotious about that??

if it was 6pm closings, id see your point, but not 7,8 and 9pm.

I say the same thing, I dont see anything wrong with that, if you have such a problem with when the parks close than you should be the first person in the park when they open the gates

The website does say that the hours are subjest to change. As they can't really get any less that can only mean that the hours will increase.
Better to go and be surprised that the parks remain open longer, than going late and finding the parks shut due to a lack of visitors.
Keep checking, bet they increase !!

Why are so many responses to legitimate questions posted on the board so hostile sometimes??

Really....especially from Cast Members??

Is that any way to create an inviting atmosphere?

'Nuff said, I guess........

P.S. WELCOME SUPERMAN!!!

First. Lets start out with a Warm Welcome to Superman!

2nd, as kind of stated. The hours on that site are generally correct. You could check other sites but the tend not to get updated as quickly as disneyworld.com does. Sorry!:( Also as previously stated the hours are not all that bad and you should get pletty done!:sohappy:

4 days 21 hours and 17 minutes.

 Hi Superman--- Yep the Disney page is usually the best way to check the hours unless you call the reservations number. We sometimes call to check on the E-ride nights as they are not on the web site. (or Tiggerman is on and you can check the times with him :D )

The first thing we usually do is check on the information that they give you when you check in-- The World Update paper. "AND" check the TV at all times when you are there (in the room) just in case. (You are staying on property mmmm)

Yes, they have been closing MK at 6 and that is WAY TOOOOOOO EARLY!!! IT has been busy the last two times I was there (Oct & Nov) and they have not!! extended the hours at MK-

I am not a morning person soooo I like to get up take my time have something to eat and etc. before I go to the park. Could they open at 1000 or 1100 and stay open later!!!!!! Anyone else agree :D

Would be nice if all of EPCOT was open agin till 9, AK, OK because of the animals-- MGM Back to 8, Please!!!!

Hummmmmm Have fun!! Can I come tooooooo Getting Disney homesick:lookaroun

I really didnt intend on being hostile, I was simply just stating my opionion that those hours are not atrousis as he had said, and then i backed up my opionions with legiamate reasons. I just dont think that a hours are as bad as he made them sound, and I wanted him to know that he will still get everything done, and still not miss out on any evening entertainment with the exception of Spectromagic during the week, that is about the only bad thing about those hours. What was hostile about that?

It was a little hostile but i am a forgiving guy... I was just under the impression during spring break the parks do get very crowded im going in the 3rd wk of March, and i was told that was a very busy time... thats why i assumed that 9-7 for MK etc was atrocious.... I just wanna make sure my girlfriend and I have time to do all that we want..

 Hummmmmmmmmmm Atrocious----- I like that word! Not being mean either it just describes my feelings--- Yes, is it a shame that the hours are so short!! I agree.:fork: My problem is I remember when they were open at MK untill 12 pm and sometimes it was 1 or 2 AM before we left main street. So these hours do seem atrocious to me, also!!

My family and myself are NOT morning people soooooo that does not help, besides WHO wants to get up early on vacation----

I guess IF you ARE a morning person and get there when everything opens it may be better. Unfortunately we never seem to get to the parks before 11 by the time we eat and etc.

When I read the trip reports I can never understand how some people get soooooooo much done???? They must hit it when NO ONE!!! IS THERE!! My luck is not so good. Everytime I go it is supposed to be SLOW and it is like the summer when ALL the kids are out!

Sorry too be so down on the hours BUT that is/has/will be my pet peeve!!!! until it changes. "I" think they should open at 1000 or 1100 and stay open later, especially at MK--so you can feel the magic at night!! ( is a a staffing problem?) Watch the castle change colors and see all the lights on main street and the rides that are outside like Big Thunder ARE more fun then.

Anyway, I am sure you will have a GREAT time you will just have to be aware of the hours and "PLAN" " PLAN" you time a little more! No shopping ! :lookaround: You can do that at Downtown Disney or the hotel LATER!!!! Hummmmmm

Hope you have a great time and HOPE :sohappy: for an E- ride night!!!! :sohappy:: lol: :D :goodnevil

Exactly there is no way i want to be up at 630 on my vacation just to get to the parks by 830 b/ i have to be there early if i wanna have any chance of getting on any rides  Disney should know better than to have such crappy hours

We're always so excited to be there that we try to get there before the gates open for whichever park we are going to that day. Why sleep in when you have somewhere cool to go? Anyway, when we get there at opening there is more than enough time to do it all.

:) Snowwhite--- Sometimes they post them 2 months ahead sometimes earlier-- You just have to keep checking the Disney web page.

I am guessing they will be the same except for maybe being open later at MK on a FRI/SAT-- Or Easter /break,week, something special. AK always closes early for the animals. It is even early in the summer. Epcot is open until 9 during peak times never later- even in the summer, not that I remember anyway. It is not bad though, as World showcase is open till 9 for the Reflections of Earth. so you can shop on the way out at Mouseworks but do not look for any thing to eat!! or rides later (sometimes a few are open later, you have to check the paper schedule on that day at the park) Everything closes---

Sometimes MGM will be open later, holidays and such-- regular used to be 8-830 for Fantasmic when it got dark later, but do not look for any change there this time of the year. Keep checking though sometimes you may find a change. Hope for an E-ride night for Magic Kingdom-- They do not post them on the web site "YET" I wish they would. You can get the info from reservations IF they have gotten the news-- Only that month though.

Good luck!! Have a great time--:D :sohappy::wave:

I have to agree. I'm disappointed in the March hours too. We are taking our kids, ages 4 1/2 and almost 3. Plus my dad, who tires out at the drop of a hat.

(Before all the messages start about why in the world would I be taking my kids at this age - I would have preferred to wait until they were 5 but my parents wanted to do this for the kids, and my dad has had several strokes and is afraid he won't be able to go if we wait any longer)

Sorry, back on topic... We will have a wheelchair and strollers for my dad and the kids. But here's my beef. All the guidebooks recommend going back to the hotel room for a nap in the afternoon. That will be a bit pointless with not much time left if we were to arrive back at the parks at around 5:00. Am I missing something? :veryconfu

Here's my plan at the moment. Of course everything is subject to change, depending on the kids. But I anticipate staying in the parks during the afternoon. I intend to give them plenty of time in places such as Tom Sawyer Island, so they will be able to run around and burn off some energy. I am paring down a list of things they will want to see and do. If we need to leave the park at 4:00, so be it. I think it would be better than leaving and coming back.

Any suggestions?

~Jen
