Disney Historians

This may sound like a weird question, but does anyone know how I might go about becoming a Walt Disney World Historian? Is there anyone whom I can contact down in Fla. about this?

I am almost done with my American History degree and thought it would be cool to be able to have my cake and eat it too by implementing Disney into my career.

For as far as Walt Disney World history goes, there area ton of sites and ppl here you should talk to. Martin is a good one and you can always read up on sites like jimhillmedia.com, intercot.com, wdwhistory.com and waltdatedworld.bravepages.com. as for like courses or classes, i have no idea or anything of that nature.

Shouldn't you contact "official" Disney historians instead of self-designated or self-appointed historian? People like Dave Smith, the Disney historian/archivist would be someone I would contact.

I'm curious about this too. My mom says I need to get a "degree in Disney". I'd be truly happy in life if I was a Disney historian.

It's just true - not a day goes by where I don't enjoy one of your creations, either audio in the car, or video at home.

I read an interview of Dave Smith in which he said you need to have a Masters degree in library sciences to work at the Disney Archives in Burbank.
